Large blacksmith/fabricating shop on site. 3 handmade gypsy rigs, and an art garden with stunning views of the central valley. Great sunsets with dark skies for night stars. Only 4.2 miles off of hwy 4 and yet a getaway of peace, quiet, and solace. One mile plus art walk showcases property and Michels unique creations,Including Double spiral, 60 foot standing stone circle, custom art climbing wall, rock stage and sky view eatery to name just a few things. The vibe at Stone Circles Garden An art ranch
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Super welcoming environment, beautiful sights, and lots of unique art around! Perfect place to get inspired and take a break, lots of active/outdoorsy things to do nearby as well! Definitely coming back here :)
This camp site is surreal ! The atmosphere, the arts, the vibe all created by the owner Michael and the team is astonishing. It really felt like a day dream, being there, and then coming back to our normal life in the city. The stories told by the owner were super interesting, and the burritos were bomb :) I can’t wait to come back to this place again.
Gem of a campground. We were promptly greeted upon arrival, shown around then settled in for a night looking up at the stars. Michel is a great human & camp host! The property is well maintained and was good parking for our motorcycles.
Such a magical place! It's definitely not for everyone. Not a place for high-maintenance folks but if you have an inkling you might like it, then you should go. Michel and Kristin and Bryce were so kind and attentive and helpful.
If you arrive exhausted, you will leave refreshed.
If you arrive depleted, you will leave inspired.
This is coolest most amazing place ever!! I'm literally packing to go back in a few days. Michel is such a wonderful person; so generous, interesting, and just delightful. Burritos are great, outhouses are the cleanest and coolest (never thought I'd say that), people on the property were fun and friendly, the place is the the most unique spirited awesome atmosphere. THANK YOU!!!!
Had a great weekend at stone circle. It had a scenic view of the valley and a beautiful starry night sky. Michel was a great host always willing to help or point you in the direction of a great adventure or field trip. His vast collection of artwork has endless stories. Can't wait to go again to see what else is in store
Our stay at Stone Circles Garden, albeit brief, was really wonderful. The property itself is a beautifully situated plot on the top of a ridge in the Sierra foothills that extends down the back of the mountain, exposing breath-taking views of the Central Valley. The space includes several large, impressive art installations, built over the last few decades by the Michel Olsen, the host and owner. In addition to the larger highlights, a thoughtful attention to detail touches every part of this 23-acre garden. Many of the pieces, both large and small, are built out of metal parts from old machines. Yet they somehow seem to blend quite naturally into the warm, dry, rolling hills of the natural landscape. Carefully curated and attended to in every way, the resulting space is truly a fascinating.
In addition to the aesthetics, the camping accommodations were great. Some of the campsites overlook the view of hte valley, but we took advantage of the cool relief provided by a grove of fairy trees instad and pitched our tent on a perfectly flat, leaf covered area under three gorgeous trees. We were able to park right next to the plot, but the grove is sectioned off from the open parking area in a way that made it feel really rustic. Our visit here was a really enjoyable and pleasant camping experience. Highly recommended!!
