The space

Enjoy the mountains in a recently renovated, three bedroom, two-bathroom, A-frame cabin in beautiful Blue Lake Springs, Arnold, in Mother Lode/Calaveras County. Minimum 2 nights stay. Pets ok. Guest must notify owner prior to stay. Pet fee is $10 per night.

This private, charming and cozy 1,200 square feet A-frame cabin is nestled among redwoods, ponderosa pines, pacific madrone, sequoias and pine cones at an elevation around 4,000 feet in the Ebbetts Pass area. It’s a great place for relaxing, hiking, fishing, golfing, skiing, tennis and wine tasting; the perfect getaway for the summer and winter.

The cabin is pet (pet-fee is $10/per night) and family-friendly with a Pack-n-Play, sippy cups, children's plate ware, booster seat, caddy hook-on-highchair, board games, puzzles and cards. There is a collection of John Muir nature books, magazines and photography books.

Both bathrooms have been recently renovated. Sunblock and basic toiletries supplied.

The kitchen is stocked with the basics and includes a brand new gas stainless stove range and refrigerator, dishwater, and microwave.

The living room has a woodstove fireplace, flat-screen TV, classic DVD movie collection, wireless internet (WiFi), Xfinity Comcast cable, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Chromecast, and a Bose SoundLink Bluetooth speaker with an auxiliary cable to connect to your smartphone, tablet or laptop. Enjoy a family meal and party games at the long dining table.

The highlight of the cabin is the large wrap-around outdoor deck tucked in the forest. The deck has a BBQ grill and new patio furniture, perfect for stargazing, outdoor meals, and reading in the shade of the trees. There are beach chairs and coolers for picnics at one of the nearby lakes.

The open loft master bedroom has a brand new king size bed, a ceiling fan, a flat-screen TV with an Amazon Fire TV, which allows you to stream movies through Netflix, Amazon Video, HBO Go, Hulu, ESPN, etc. You can also play music and watch TV Xbox 360 for watching DVDs or playing video games. Enjoy a shower under the giant trees in the brand new upstairs master bathroom, with a shower underneath a skylight.

One downstairs bedroom has a brand new queen-sized log-cabin bed. The second downstairs bedroom has two single beds. New downstairs couch folds out into a comfortable queen-sized hide-a-bed.

Parking: There is a driveway for two or three cars, and additional parking along the street as well as newly-leveled stairs with railings for easy access down from the street to the cabin.

Guests have access to Blue Lake Springs Resort’s Snowflake Lodge, swimming pool, two lakes, children’s playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball court, ping pong tables, bocce, shuffleboard and horseshoes.

Nearby amenities include Murphy’s (12.1 miles) and Bear Valley ski resort (31.7 miles), where you can skip the long lines of expensive Tahoe resorts for a more intimate feeling on the slopes. You are five minutes from Sequoia Woods Golf Course. The Big Trees Supermarket is 6 minutes away. There are lots of restaurants and shops in the area.

Please note: We ask you that either bring your own linens or wash and put away the sheets before you leave.
