ABOUT THE SPACE

Wander to Stepping Stone Farm, a working mini farm with chickens, pigeons, emu, rhea, ponies, goats and much more! Feel free to interact with the animals and for a bonus we highly recommend taking our tour. Try our organic eggs, play with chicks and a bunch of other surprises.

We are out in the country, 1.5 miles from Uvas Reservoir, and only 7 minutes to the nearest supermarket.

THINGS TO NOTE

We recommend bringing earplugs for light sleepers as we have livestock guardian dogs (friendly to people) and roosters!

We provide camp toilets, there is a running water, each site has a picnic table and we can provide the firewood when it is possible to have the camp fire.

Our "Glamping" tent was awesome. It's got everything you could want to make your stay feel like home! The couches inside, lighting, and provided speaker were a good touch.

It can get hot during the day and cold at night (we were there in early September) so prepare accordingly. We brought a sleeping bag just in case and were very glad we did, as unfolding it made a perfect cover!

And note that there are other camping spaces adjacent to the tent. Our neighbors were very quiet and respectful, and the hosts are great!

Our host was amazing and their Farm is as beautiful. However, HipCamp did not provide any heater within our tent not they provided any blankets. Although, we were prepared with our own blankets, providing us with information would have been great. Temperatures dropped below 45 degrees and our camp was extremely cold. Please make sure heater is provided in your glamping camp.

My stay at Stepping Stone Farm was sweet. The tent was good. Not too hot, not too cold. Russell and Olga were nice and accommodating. I loved the farm tour. It’s a funky place! It’s their home, their working-farm. The toilets are those little plastic sit-upons with a separate space for waste. You zip up a rectangular tent for privacy. You will have camping neighbors on the weekend. Ours happened to be a little loud, but that is out of our hosts hands. I still recommend the farm as a sweet alternative to staying in town.
