We felt so lucky to find this campsite after deciding on a spontaneous camping trip to Joshua Tree. It’s super close to the park, the site feels really spacious compared to typical campgrounds, and the fire pit is great for campfires and grilling! We would definitely go back.
This place is fantastic! It really saved us in a bind. Todd and Andrea were amazing host, communicative, and helpful. The space is worth every penny. Located 5 minutes from the JT West Entrance, we found this campsite after failing to retrieve a campsite at the national park. We drove around for an hour and grew a little anxious about what to do next. Todd accepted our reservation immediately, guided us to his campsite from the park, and also gave a list of places to visit in town just in case we wanted to spend our time more festively. The campground is perfectly placed in this enclave just inside a few mountains thus the experience didn't distract from our initial JT camping plans. It comes with a fire pit, grill, and the cleanest portapotty I've ever witnessed in my life. I highly recommend!!
This campsite was AMAZING! We decided on a last-minute trip to Joshua Tree in early May, so of course all of the campgrounds in the park were booked. I'm SO GLAD they were - this site was even better. We arrived at midnight, and the site was easy to find with our hosts' directions and the solar lights they had placed to show the boundaries of the driveway to the sites. The site itself is clean and flat, with great amenities (fire pit with grill, gas grill, trash bin, water spigot, and portapotty), cool cacti and rocks all around, and a beautiful view into the valley below. At night, you're far away enough from the city of Joshua Tree's lights to get a clear view of the stars. Since there is only one other campsite on the property, it feels much more private than the sites in big campgrounds. The hosts introduced themselves the morning after we arrived - they were super friendly and accommodating, but gave us plenty of space. And it's only a 10-min drive to the West Entrance of the park! All in all, we would DEFINITELY come back!
Fantastic little campsite, we arrived late and left pretty early, but Andrea and Todd were great to meet. The campsite was great and easy to find with the provided directions, but the road in was a bit rough on our vehicle, which was mostly equipped to handle the conditions. Todd gave us a ton of valuable advice and information about climbing in JT, if you have a chance to pick his brain, you should!
My boyfriend and I would definitely recommend camping here and we had a lot of fun during our stay. The site is super close to the park and if you’re looking for a similar experience as to what you would find within the park, Starry JT Nights is the way to go.
The hosts Todd and Andrea gave us a warm greeting when we got there and the site was private enough with lots of room so our tent and our friends' tent were set up not too close to each other. There was a clean picnic table, a grill, and a fire pit for us to use. I was a bit worried about the portable toilet but it was surprisingly really clean. It was nice that there was also running water outside faucet and a large garbage bin. The site was very close to the Jtree national park like about 5 mins away. Overall we were very satisfied and had a really great time. Two thumbs up!! We are definitely coming back.
