Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation. Splitrock Farm Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers. Splitrock Retreat Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 200 foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. To the northeast are views of near 11K foot snowy peaks of San Jacinto and San Gorgonio, with rolling hills of De Luz and Fallbrook in the foreground.

Amazing!
Our 2nd time at this farm and it was amazing!!! We had the most beautiful view of the valley below with epic sunsets, lots of room to explore, and loads of privacy. We'll definitely be back!!

Peaceful Valley
Peaceful Valley stay
Peaceful Valley campsite was indeed peaceful and quiet. Distant gunnery practice at Marine Camp Pendelton on Sunday morning, though. Nice people, goats, dogs, and alpaca. Pot luck on New Moon was a treat.

Granite Tabernacle Private Views
We arrived on a rainy night and were grateful for the lovely place to stay. I appreciated the attention to detail in the information shared prior to our arrival. The next day, the Granite Tabernacle site exceeded expectations with stunning views! We had a lovely visit from one of the dogs. They were so sweet and attentive. I wish we'd been on the property a bit longer to meet the goats and other residents. Overall positive expirence. I recommend 100%.

Splitrock Valley - Jurassic Jungle
This property was absolutely amazing!! My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay and the amenities offered. the site was so large and spacious, allowing us a large area for our tent & hanging out. The table and chairs is a really nice addition! Cannot wait to come here again hopefully soon!! Thank you so much for the amazing stay! One comment- in terms of directions, we did get lost a few times & there is really poor service while driving up the hill, so make sure to download the instructions and carefully follow them to avoid getting lost.

Granite Tabernacle Private Views
I had a lovely stay at the Tabernacle. I loved waking up to the view of the valley covered with fog. The giant boulders are so cool.
