Camp next to native plants and learn their names in our native plant demonstration garden walking path - names will be added soon. We have nine spaces for tents. They are spaces only as we have a communal fire area, communal bathrooms and communal hookups. Tent spaces are at least, a minimum of 15 feet from each other. We feature two trails on the property. Walk the largest labyrinth in California. There is a jacuzzi and jam sessions on some nights. Noble quiet hours are at 9:30 pm to 8 am. Whispers from 9:30 pm to 10 pm until 7 am to 8 am.
We are located 1.7 miles from the nearest town, Santa Ysabel, CA. The store there opens and closes each day from 6 am to 8 pm. We are also 5.3 miles from Julian, CA. We provide an economy shuttle service.
We also have a communal kitchen. All dishes are washed by fellow conscious hipcampers, but feel free to wash and sanitize all the pots and dishes you will be using again before you use them. All dishes used are required to be cleaned by Guests. There is a dog next door about 200 feet away who sometimes barks. Thanks! and Welcome all!!

The vibe at Spiritual Retreat Center

This place is a blessing to find. Once here I almost felt like the Universe was telling me it was exactly where I was supposed to be. It's a great basic campground, with lots of trees and privacy from other campers. They have a house with a bathroom and kitchen for campers to use. The host's are kind, price is great, it is close to Julian but still remote enough to feel the vibe of the nature (I think there may easily be 100 species of plants, lots of wildlife, including turkeys). Due to the cleanliness, peacefulness, and tranquility of this place activities like yoga, meditation, and hiking allow for oneself a find a new deeper connection with nature
The positives include a nice friendly place to camp, close to Julian, and easy access to forest areas. There are a couple short hiking or mediation trails (and a labyrinth) on the property. You get to use the bathroom, shower, and communal kitchen in a nearby cabin when you are tent camping. Everything is clean, comfortable and friendly.
For some campers, the only downsides I can think of are a german shepherd at the property line occasionally has fits of barking. Also, you are very close to Hwy 78 which kind of wraps around the property. So expect some traffic noise.
I would think of this location as a jumping off point for doing other activities in the area. Though there is a small play area for kids, places to lay out your yoga mat, and you can do a botany walk trying to identify about 50 plant species (and maybe run across a wild turkey like I did), you'll probably run out of things to do at your campsite. But there is so much more to do in the area.
