Ken was fantastic and the set-up was so cute! The little touches made all the difference! This was my first Hip Camp experience and SLO Country Camp set a very high bar - I will keep this site in mind if I ever travel this way again. Most importantly, my dog approved and had a blast!

Ken welcomed us warmly and showed us around. These hosts are amazing! So much more than we ever expected, such as a s’mores basket, lots of kitchen items like drying rack, towels, seasoning mixes and even a nice table and chairs. They even provided games and info about activities around SLO. Very quiet area out in the country. We had a great time here.

We enjoyed our stay at SLO Country Camp! Ken was so kind, and met us when we arrived to show us around.
There is a lovely outdoor shower and kitchen area, and beautiful views all around.
In the evening, our hosts left our fixing for s’mores and plums fresh from their trees at the communal campfire.
Thank you for the lovely visit!

Beautiful setting with spectacular views and the aesthetics of the camp were relaxing and sweet. Ken was amazing. The site was great for our two-tent trip. There is not a ton of shade over the sites, so highly recommend bringing an extra easy-up or something for keeping seating cool. Loved it!

Judi and Ken were fantastic hosts. The area is super cute and they even had S’mores fixings at the fire. Bear in mind it’s near the airport so might want earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.

Ken and Judi have a little hidden gem in their back yard. When we first booked we were skeptical as it was our first Hip Camp booking ever. When we arrived Ken was more than welcoming. He was accommodating and made us feel right at home. We set up camp in one of their 2 spots and we had an amazing view of the country side.

Their campsite also came with amenities such as: a communal “kitchen” area that had a cute table, working sink, newly made outdoor shower, and porta potty. There’s also a communal fire pit. The sweet part is that they provide the firewood and all the stuff to make s’mores!!!!

Ken would check in on us every so often just to see if everything was ok, or if we had any questions. He even provided us with some suggestions for what to do around the area, popular restaurants, beaches and wineries nearby.

We stood for 2 nights and definitely don’t regret it. It was sooo relaxing and exactly what we needed for our impromptu mini road trip. We would hit the road in the morning, go do our stuff and come back to cook dinner and chill by the fire pit and make s’mores!

We will definitely be going back. Thank you for your hospitality Ken and Judi! We can’t wait to be back. :)
