Come see how I live off the grid. You can choose a tent site between the road and the creek. Very few cars travel the road and it is mostly logging trucks during the logging season. You will be 200 feet from my metal building home and my motor home where you can use the toilet and the shower. You can also choose to rough it more and cross the creek and climb the mountainside. There are a few level places up the mountain. You can also hike up on the mountain and make your own trails or follow the deer and bear trails. We recently had the terrible Carr Fire come through and so the trees on the mountain have had some damage, but not as bad as some in the neighborhood. Most of the poison oak was burned, so that is good for fall to spring. You can swim in the creek when it isn't too cold. This is gold country, so you could try your hand at panning for gold. Fishing and hunting are not allowed. The animals are safe here. No alcohol is permitted and smoking is forbidden. If you absolutely have to smoke, you can vape.

Serene camping at singingwaters
My boys and I had a great time staying at Singingwaters. The camp site down by the creek is fantastic and roomy - and best of all, it has the sound of water over the rocks only a few feet away. Tamara was a gracious host and was more than happy to show us around her property and some of her furry friends that live there with her. I would highly recommend making this your campsite of you are looking for something private and off the beaten path while still being close enough for access to Whiskeytown lake and Redding beyond that. I forgot to pack insect repellent and Tamara was happy to share some with us. I look forward to camping here again the next time I am in town!
Didn’t stay but would have loved to
Due to a change of plans we weren’t able to make our stay at Singingwaters so this is based on our experience booking.
Tamara is friendly, helpful and inquisitive. She provided lots of info up front about what to expect both finding the location and the site itself. I’m sure staying there would have been great, and if we ever are able to make it to the area would happily book again.
