Sindisa Sanctuary is a glamping experience like no other. Our visitors unwind with room to roam on an off-grid piece of paradise, while our rescue ranch animals enjoy their forever home. We don't ride the horses, but guests can get muddy with the pigs, hang out with the alpacas, commune with a rare herd of wild horses, feed the goats or simply kick back and enjoy the animals
Sindisa Sanctuary is a glamping experience like no other. Our visitors unwind with room to roam on an off-grid piece of paradise, while our rescue ranch animals enjoy their forever home. We don't ride the horses, but guests can get muddy with the pigs, hang out with the alpacas, commune with a rare herd of wild horses, feed the goats or simply kick back and enjoy the animals at a distance.
The Valley View campsite is situated at the edge of a large valley overlooking Mount St Helena and surrounding hillsides. The rescue ranch animals roam on their half of the property, but visitors are welcome to feed them with the guidance of our caregivers.
This site offers a canvas tent that sits on top of a large covered wood deck with a rustic Moroccan flair. Inside you will find two queen size mattress with deluxe linens and comfy duvets to keep warm at night. The deck wraps around two sides of the tent giving room for lounging in the hammock or gathering around the table. This site does not provide utensils or pots and pans so be sure to bring along a few cooking essentials.
Incase our visitors would like to book more than 4 people at the Meadow Tent, we offer 2 twin air mattresses for an additional $50 per bed/per night. For groups exceeding 6 people we can offer a few areas near the tent where additional guests can pitch their own tents on flat surfaces for $50 per person/per night.
The surrounding area includes a large in-ground fire pit with cut logs for seats along with a table and bar stools. You'll also find two tree swings and an old tire swing.
A clean flushing porto potty is situated adjacent to the tent and a sink is available for washing up.
This site is completely off-grid. You will find a few lanterns to illuminate your evenings plus a few external solar lights placed in the trees.
Nearby the campsite are some of our the rescue ranch animals: burros, alpacas and pigs. The horses, Choctaw ponies and cows are located on the opposite hills closer to 2 other campsites. Visitors are welcome to hand feed the animals when accompanied by one of our caregivers. This seems to be everyone's favorite part of the experience.
Throughout the day and night our ranch dog, Naya, likes to visit periodically. She's extremely friendly and loves children. Just introduce yourselves to her if she wanders over.
There are several hiking trials on the 125 acres that you are welcome to explore. You are also welcome to pick food from our garden that sits just below the tent area.
The driveway to the campsite is a gravel road, so an SUV is recommended but not essential.
The swimming hole is available for cooling off between the hours of 2:00-5:00 and Russian River Adventures in Healdsburg offers full/half day canoe rentals for a self guided river float.
Our other recommendation for river fun is Johnson's Beach in Guerneville, a scenic drive through redwoods and wineries takes you straight into town where the beach is located. They offer rentals of chairs, umbrellas, inner tubes and canoes. There is also a snack shack that serves food and beverages including beer on tap!

What a delightful experience! Was even more beautiful and serene than we could have imagined. Had everything we needed when we arrive (including complimentary firewood!) and spent two days relaxing and rejuvenating I’m the cozy outdoor living space, hanging out with the sweet, rescued animals (Sarah is an angel!), taking in the scenery (gorgeous sunset), and at the end of it all got to sink into comfy clean beds. Thanks for such a magical place. Would love to return.
This site is absolutely wonderful! The tent set up is so cozy and comfortable and we had everything we needed. The view was lovely and we had so much fun visiting all the animals. We especially loved Naya and Mario, the ranch dogs. Sarah was super friendly and made sure we were completely taken care of.
Amazing place. We have 2 toddlers and they absolutely loved the tire swing, tree swings, hammock and the experience feeding the Alpacas. This place is truly special. We will be returning!
We had a wonderful and completely relaxing stay at the Valley View site! We really enjoyed the fire pit in the evening the deck was great for lounging in the morning. The inside of the tent was very comfortable and the beds were cozy. We can't wait to return!
Peaceful view and animals!
We absolutely loved our 2-night stay at Valley View Tent and hope to come back. The kids played on the swings practically the whole time. We all enjoyed the view, the garden, the sweet-as-pie dogs, the alpacas, etc. Pool was cold, but daughter got in anyway. Hiking onsite is minimal, but good for a steep stroll with an unbelievable view. Jenn took us around to visit the animals and she was really great and interesting. Place was so peaceful. Tent was comfortable. Flushable port-a-potty with mini-sink was still a port-a-potty, but pretty much the nicest port-a-potty I've ever used. Shame we couldn't do fires during our stay (fire danger), but we had a really lovely time regardless.
This property was everything we wanted and more! It felt very secluded, lots of space, very clean, and the swings on the tree were a nice touch! The actual tent and bathroom were both cozy and clean. Would definitely stay again!
