Sindisa Sanctuary is a glamping experience like no other. Our visitors unwind with room to roam on an off-grid piece of paradise, while our rescue ranch animals enjoy their forever home. We don't ride the horses, but guests can get muddy with the pigs, hang out with the alpacas, commune with a rare herd of wild horses or simply kick back and enjoy the animals at a distance.

The Mountain View campsite is situated on top of a large platform overlooking beautiful views of Mount St Helena. It offers a roomy square canvas tent that comfortably sleeps 4 people. You will find two queen size air mattresses with comfy deluxe bedding and duvet covers to keep you warm at night.

For groups exceeding 4 people the tent is large enough to add in two single air mattresses for 50.00 person per person/per night .

The site includes a picnic table, a fire pit for cooking, chairs, lanterns and a hammock. Close to the tent site is a clean, flushing porto potty that is shared with the camp across the road.

Nearby the campsite, but separated by a gate, are the rescue ranch animals: horses, alpacas, pigs, Choctaw ponies, cows and our livestock guardian dogs. Visitors are welcome to hand feed the animals when accompanied by one of our caregivers. This seems to be everyone's favorite part of the experience.

Throughout the day and night our ranch dog, Naya, likes to visit periodically. She's extremely friendly and loves children. Just introduce yourselves to her if she wanders over.

Also nearby is a scenic trail that provides a beautiful path for walking. If you'd like to hike off trail there are 125 acres of beautiful rolling hills to explore.

The driveway to the campsite is a gravel road, so an SUV is recommended but not essential.

The swimming hole is available for cooling off between the hours of 2:00-5:00 and Russian River Adventures in Healdsburg offers full/half day canoe rentals for a self guided river float.

Our other recommendation for river fun is Johnson's Beach in Guerneville, a scenic drive through redwoods and wineries takes you straight into town where the beach is located. They offer rentals of chairs, umbrellas, inner tubes and canoes. There is also a snack shack that serves food and beverages including beer on tap!

We had a wonderful time at the Mountain View campfire. The tent was spacious, the beds comfortable, the “deck” cozy, and the hammock awesome. We got a brief tour via 4-wheeler to visit the alpaca, pigs and goats. In the morning the heard of horses let themselves out of the gate to come and graze in the grasses around our cabin. They mostly left us alone outside of a little curiosity until we had watermelon in reach. Luckily Sarah and team were around to help herd them back to their coral for breakfast. The horses were quite a treat, along with all the other animals, the beautiful landscape and the hospitality! We probably should’ve brought our own grill- we had also forgot a pot to heat water and Sarah graciously lent us one. We were looking for something a bit easier than lugging all our camping gear- this place delivered, mostly. What a treat to get away for a quick weekend- enjoy nature and some really friendly animals! Our toddler loved meeting the horses for the first time!

Wow, what a special place. My 12-year-old daughter and I loved every minute of our stay at Sindisa Sanctuary. The Mountain View tent is bright, airy and comfortable, and the view is unbeatable. Sarah is a warm and gracious host. We also loved visiting the rescued horses, alpacas and pigs, who were quite obviously happy and well-cared for. We definitely hope to return one day.

We had a great visit. The yurt was clean and shaded by trees so that even on a hot day we were comfortable. The swimming hole was fantastic.

This place is magical. Sarah was super responsive and answered all my questions in detail before arriving. The mountain view tent was beautiful and Sarah added an extra twin bed so it would comfortably fit all 5 of us (2 queen beds and 1 twin bed, including all bedding/pillows/extra blankets). Our site had a wood burning fire pit with plenty of wood, a propane fire pit, 1 very clean portable toilet, a battery powered light, electrical outlets, potable water, a hammock and lots of chairs to comfortably fit all of us. They also had extras like citronella candles and lighters for us that was a nice touch. We brought over 20 lbs of fruit and vegetables to feed the animals, so Andres and Martine (property manager/animal caretakers) took us around in their ATV to meet and feed all the animals. It was truly a magical experience and you can tell that they really love the animals as they knew a lot about them. One of the dogs on the property named Naya stayed with us all night as well. She was super sweet and gentle. It felt like we had our own personal bodyguard all night. I highly recommend this place. A truly magical experience. Thank you SINDISA SANCTUARY!

This place exceeded all of our expectations and was the perfect spot for a true weekend getaway. We were able to completely relax and unwind in this picturesque campsite. In the evenings we enjoyed relaxing on the deck with a view of the mountains, as well as building a campfire/ s'mores and laying in the hammock. We could watch the gorgeous sunrise over the mountains from our bed in the morning. The wonderful staff were so friendly and showed us around the farm and we got to meet and feed adorable animals. The campsite had everything we needed and was in a perfect location for wine tasting in Calistoga, dinner in Healdsburg and brunch in St. Helena. (We highly recommend Madrigal Winery, Campo Fina, and Charter Oak Restaurant). We will absolutely be back in the future and have nothing but amazing memories thanks to this place :)

We will be coming back for sure! Beautiful views and amazing property. We took a fun casual hike around the property and the view was so great. In the heart of wine country. The air mattresses were super comfy and the host left us a really bright lantern. Great fire pit and so great that they provide wood! Highly recommend.
