PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITE AT SINDISA.ORG
Situated on a beautiful spot in the rolling hills, this canvas bell tent can comfortably sleep six people. Featuring a queen size futon bed and 2 queen size air mattress (upon request), the Bell Tent is also spacious enough to accommodate extra guests at $25 per guest per night.
The campsite includes a propane gas grill for cooking, running water for drinking and cleaning, a picnic table and umbrella for dining, a beautiful hammock and a wood burning stove in the tent. No bed linens or towels are provided with the tent, only blankets, so we ask that you bring your own bedding or sleeping bags, pillows and towels. Also, nearby the Bell Tent is a very clean porta potty with a sink and a flushable toilet.
Nearby the campsite, but separated by a gate, are the rescue ranch animals: horses, alpacas, pigs, Choctaw ponies, cows and our livestock guardian dogs. Visitors are welcome to hand feed the animals when accompanied by one of our caregivers. This seems to be everyone's favorite part of the experience. Feeding times are 9:30 Am and 3:30 PM.
Throughout the day and night our ranch dog, Naya, likes to visit periodically. She's extremely friendly and loves children. Just introduce yourselves to her nicely if she wanders over.
Bell Tent campers are welcome to enjoy the swimming hole with the rest of the campers at Sindisa 2:00-5:00 each afternoon. So don't forget your swimsuit!

The vibe at Bell Tent
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
The site was amazing and extremely private. We arrived late at night and found the spot easily with Sarah's help! We ate in town in Healdsburg which is just a quick drive away but we were a little bummed when we arrived because the site has a perfect set-up for grilling out on the provided propane campfire with racks and all. The site was also very sunny and bright in the morning which was amazing. It can get a little toasty so we cooled ourselves with the hose which you can access right next to your tent. As for the tent, it was set-up with everything you could need games, extra air mattress and a jug of water. It got a little chilly at night, but there is a tiny wood burning fire place in there- we just chose to use our blankets instead and stayed perfectly warm all night. In the morning we woke up and went to say hi to the alpaca, horses and fluffiest dog you ever did see named Mario and it was the perfect start to our day. Thank you for a wonderful time on your property Sarah! We will definitely be returning :)
Bell Tent was an amazing campsite. The setting is beautiful with a great view and access to trails around the magical property. They provided us with everything we needed + more -- a spacious tent with a comfortable bed, a picnic table, a fire pit/grill, a hammock, chairs, drinking water, an outlet, lanterns, etc. It exceeded all expectations! They even let us meet all of their incredible animals and gave us a little tour in the morning. Sarah was a great host! I hope to be back soon!
Great experience, private area, with nice tent and fire pit. We got some bugs around evening which got better after 9pm, make sure to take bug repellent. We got to meet their lovely animals in the morning an it was great. Highly recommended!
We stayed at this site with our five-year-old daughter. It was a wonderful place. The campsite was large, quiet, and clean. The three of us had some very comfortable family time. They gave us a tour of the property, taught us a lot about the animals in detail, and kindly answered all of our questions. We got to join them in the morning feed. There were horses, alpacas, pigs, and their dogs on the property, and everyone was very friendly. Our daughter loved this place and said she didn't want to go home. We had a hard time getting her to leave! I would highly recommend this place and be back again!
My best friend and I (mom's weekend) and our two young children stayed overnight at the Bell Tent site. It was fantastic and exceeded our expectations! Sarah and her crew have done a really amazing job setting up a really comfortable and private camp site with all the amenities you would need... gas fire pit, spigot hose with clean running water, very clean flush portable toilet, hammock, lounge chairs, solar power battery for electricity, and a covered picnic table. They even brought us a bean bag toss game for the kids to enjoy! Tent was very spacious for 2 adults and 2 kids. Super clean and the bed and air mattress were very comfortable. The only thing we would consider bringing next time would be a net or some wasp repellent because there were quite a few trying to share our tacos. We loved it all and would gladly come back here although next time we will try to get the glamp tent with the open kitchen next to the horses. The kids had a lot of fun in the swimming hole too as it was a warm and sunny day. The Bell Tent site is far enough from other sites so you have privacy but not so far that you feel like you're completely isolated. It was extremely quiet in the evening and early morning except for the occasional mooing from the cow and bull nearby. The other campers were very respectful of the rules and noise level which we appreciated. The best part was feeding the animals on Sunday morning! Wow! The kids couldn't get enough as they got to interact with the giant pigs and feed the horses and alpacas. The crew obviously cares very much for the animals and it was wonderful to see that they had a beautiful and loving place to live out their lives. The massive polar bear size dogs Nya and Mario who guard the horses and alpacas are simply adorable! This was our first time camping through Hipcamp so it was a special way to experience private camping. We will definitely be back! Thank you to Sarah and all of her staff for the amazing things they're doing at the Sindisa Sanctuary!
