The vibe at Old West Ranch Site #3
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Beautiful site next to a wild flower filled meadow. This site is perfect for stargazing and milky way viewing, but also has great tress to shade you and keep you cool during the day. Bonus: there is a fire-side-couch for the best lounging one could as for! Tons of mountain biking near by and swimming holes galore!
Awesome place! Owner is super nice! So much nicer than any other campsite in the area! Beautiful view of the stars! Lots of free fire wood and the fire pit has a grill that can be raised and lowered- perfect! Comes with 2 chairs at each site. Our spot had a couch!
Seriously, the best campsite + best host ever. We were a group of 10 and the setting couldn't be more perfect -- our site was spacious, the wild flowers were in bloom, potable water + available firewood made planning way too easy for us. All we had to bring was food and our sleeping gear. There are also a ton of great swimming spots nearby. Quick tip: the timber gate will be hard to miss, coming up from the right. There's a huge engraving on the top that reads out "Silver Fork Ranch" and a huge American flag hanging down. We drove up at night and only half paid attention to Rod's instructions to finding the ranch. But if you know what you're looking out for, it's so easy to find. We will be back!
Beautiful site with a fire pit that's great for grilling! Being at the edge of the meadow is great because there's plenty of shade during the day and an expansive view of stars at night. Rod is super friendly and directed us to a nearby swimming hole to cool off from the summer heat.
Stayed here for a couple nights in late September with a group of 12 friends (8 of us stayed at site #3, and 4 of us slept in the teepee nearby). The campground is beautiful, very remote in a good way, the stars are clear, and Rod is an excellent host. Highly recommend.
Old West Ranch #3 was fantastic! We took a group of 10 and had plenty of space for tents, a mix of shade in the trees + a big sunny meadow, lovely firepit and two picnic tables. Rod was a great host and gave us lots of recommendations for hikes and swimming in the area.
