***Two night minimum for Thursdays-Saturdays***
Located only 15 minutes from the historic downtown Healdsburg, Shelterwood is a 400+ acre, family owned property located on Mill Creek, with a focus on timber, preservation, and camping. We have built a few tent cabins around the property for you to stay in and enjoy nature. There are several miles of trails and dirt roads to wander, while taking in the beautiful northern California forest.
Many world class restaurants, vineyards, and breweries await. Book your Russian River paddling trip, and enjoy a few hours on the water.
This particular site has three tent cabins, two king sized beds, and one with a queen sized bed (all complete with sheets, pillows, and blankets). A fire ring (available during low fire danger times) pulls all three together to create an amazing site for you to gather your friends and family. Additional cots, sleeping bags, and pillows are available. We encourage you to bring your camping essentials.

The vibe at Shelterwood- Juniper Ridge Site
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
I truly cannot recommend this place highly enough. In fact, it's one of my favorite places I've EVER camped, which is saying a lot because love camping. The site itself was much more spacious than I'd imagined, and maintained impeccably (both the tents and the property). The tent cabins were the perfect combination of rustic and upscale. I almost felt like I was in a magazine photoshoot. We had two nights, 3 days at the Juniper Group Site and I wanted more. We were so happy about the gas grill: it made cooking for 14 an absolute breeze. We also loved the fire pit with chairs: we spent both nights around it playing games and had a blast. Elsie and David were extremely attentive and gracious hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. Literally the only downside (and it doesnt even really count) is that there are mosquitos so bring your bug spray (but it's camping, of course there are going to be bugs!!!) But back to positives: we enjoyed walking around the property, and this site is close to town/tons of activities. On our second day we kayaked on the river, and on the third day we split up to do biking, wine tasting, and lawn games/river swimming. Overall, this is the perfect place either for a small group, large group, or anything in between. Book here and you'll love it, I promise!
My group of 9 adults had a lovely stay at this camp site. The site was beautiful and well set up. It was private and quiet. We loved cooking on the large gas grill and sitting in the comfy chairs around the fire pit. David was a nice and helpful host. I hope to visit this property again in the future.
