Sheep Rock sits along the Yreka trail. It was once home to the Shasti and Modoc tribes. Eventually the land was turned into one of the largest ranches in California for over a hundred years. After that it went into blm land and was then purchased as a private property. We are keeping the land as untouched as possible while reintroducing animals like wild horses and long horn sheep to bring back the soil. We are opening this land up for people to explore and hist gatherings on. However right now its a wild life oasis. You can see and hear owls, coyotes, sbakes, and a plethora of other wild creatures along the way. Views of Mt Shasta are everywhere, and this land has lakes and mountains to visit less than 30 miles away.
