If you are looking to get away from the crowds you are guaranteed success at Madrone Campground. These campsites are remote as it gets. Go ahead, howl at the moon, dance in your undies, spit whiskey into the fire, and scratch you name into the stars.

Pets ARE allowed, but not recommended due to the large number of rattlesnakes and bears. There are fire rings, but fires are often prohibited anyway. Check when you get your fire permit.

The campsites are within a hundred yards of the river, and there are pit toilets but no drinking water. Pack out your trash.

The road in is a long, washed out dirt road, so don't try to drive this in anything less than an SUV or something with sturdy suspension.
