Take a long Walk along the river and take in the views and wildlife. Take a look at the Lower Yuba River Campsite listing as this one is right next to it. No parking at campsite. Possible access with a light 4X4 vehicle. Would be at campers risk for getting stuck in soft sand.. There is a spot that you can park but would be next to house. Nice shade over most of the campsite with easy access to river.  Check with Host if campfire available.  Please contact Wally (Onsite Host) upon arrival

Man this place was just what we needed! Our site was perfectly shaded from the hot sun which was such a relief because I had my 13yr old pup with me and she woulda been a hot dog! Wally met me at the gate and led me in. Took me around to show me the place and was very welcoming! He even checked on us a few times to be sure we had what we needed. The only thing that we didn’t read on the site was that the fire pit was not at our site, which while disappointing ended up being fine cuz it was too hot for a fire and I go to bed early so, it was all good! The campsite is in a location that allows you to sit close enough to the river and watch nature, listen to the birds and see fish jumping and the swallows swipe down the skim the water! Simply beautiful! And another big plus for me was there were no raccoons or other wild animals around at night to disturb our site. Meant for a sounder night sleep for me!

We had a great time! The address did not go through on the GPS accurately and we had to drive down a few different roads to find it. The GPS took us to halfway across the bridge but it was actually a right turn before the bridge. The river was so perfect for us and the kids. It was convenient to have a porta potty on site, but they've had more campers than normal because of COVID-19 and week day campers so it was very full. There was a heatwave while there (feel like temps of 108) but the river is so fresh and we took breaks from the sun and had a lot of sunscreen and sunshirts for kids, so it never felt super hot and was perfect. We had floaties and went down the first set of baby rapids with all the kids (one at a time) and then got out right after and walked back up to do it again. They loved it!

One thing that sucked was that because our visit was during the week we could hear construction nearby that's started very early in the morning.

Overall, it was a great time few days for all!

Amazing location. Site is right next to the river! We had fun cooking with a great view and fishing by the little beach. Wally was very kind and checked in on us to make sure all was well. Will come again!

This was a great spot on the yuba river. Only complaint would be the construction Saturday morning down the road. Besides that we were able relax with our feet in the river, have a bonfire, and enjoy ourselves! If your gonna fish - would recommend fly fishing rod. The trout were jumping out of the water!

This place had an amazing location! Waking up to the river was amazing! There’s a friendly dog named hank who will greet you and Wally the host was so kind and gave us our space but still checked up on us to make sure we were okay! The only feedback I would give is the porta potty needed to be serviced. But Overall I would stay here again!
