Take a long Walk along the river and take in the views and wildlife. Take a look at the Lower Yuba River Campsite listing as this one is right next to it. No RV at campsite. There is a spot that you can park but would be next to house. For camp site 1 you might want to bring a eze-up for some shade. According to the owner September and October are the best months for camping. Days are warm but not hot and evenings cool down nicely.

Great campsite, highly recommend staying here! The river view and stars at night were lovely. The camping was in a sandy, shaded site and was a comfortable place to pitch a tent for a few nights.

Joe was a very welcoming, attentive host. We were in site 1, which didn’t have much shade during the day but Joe brought out an EZ up for us to use along the shore of the river, which was great. Plenty of wood for the shared fire pit. Not the most idyllic portion of the Yuba River, but still a great place to get a little peace and quiet within a few hours from SF.

Wally was very warm and accommodating for our wonderful weekend on the Yuba River. We talked about music and camping and shared a couple beers together (plus some sangria).

One of the sites has excellent shade in the morning AND in the evening. The other site has just morning shade (which is the better time to have shade anyway). So if you get the site surrounded by trees, you may want to bring a shade structure but if you get the site with just morning shade, it will definitely be hotter during the day and early evening.

One great thing is that you have access to water from a well located on Wally's land (Wally owns the land, Joe helps with his Hipcamp presence).

We had a great two days on the water and had tons of fun. Would return.

Beautiful place to camp, literally right on the river. Super private and plenty of shade, with everything you could ever ask for. Wally is super nice and accommodating, as well. Will definitely be going back!

Wally was a wonderful host. The site was shaded and comfy, with a clean porta potty, wood for the fire pit, a hose with potable water, and right on the Yuba river. My chill and friendly rottweiler was comfy and welcome, and loved having access to the river. Can't wait to come back!

The booking process was easy. Joe helped coordinate our stay with Wally, the property owner. Wally was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The property is beautiful (as pictured) and located near other great Yuba river access points. Looking forward to returning again with more of our friends!
