Our peaceful eight-acre parcel is 13 miles from Santa Cruz, CA, and within walking distance of downtown Boulder Creek. While we enjoy the liveliness of children, we've decided to host mature guests in our quiet neighborhood for a restful retreat. Before booking, please ensure you've read all the info here and are comfortable with our amenities and rules. A booking means you're good to go! Our property can host a maximum of 6 guests, and everyone gets access to the swimming pool, pool bathroom, and outdoor, pool shower. Sam n Alex boasts a private courtyard with a super clean (but dated and kinda ugly) hot tub, a cute, little, propane fire pit, beach towels, a SUUUUPER comfy, queen-sized Tempurpedic bed, a private bathroom with a stand-in shower, towels, shampoo, condition, soap, television with Netflix all dialed in, microwave, small fridge and freezer, coffee and tea, plates and utensils, the gear for your wine and beer, napkins, sleep masks, and a serene atmosphere where you can relax and listen to the birds and wind in the trees. We've created this space exclusively for adults seeking tranquility, so if you're looking for a family experience, please explore other listings on Hipcamp. Because all other listings are at the lower portion of our property, the courtyard offers total privacy with a view of the meadow and mountains. We love seeing our resident red tail hawks, families of deer and squirrels visit while enjoying our outdoor seating. You'll love the high ceiling with a skylight above the bed, and we provide complimentary sleep masks for a restful night. While you may hear faint sounds from our home, we respect your privacy and have sound machines to ensure a quiet environment. We observe quiet hours from 10 PM to 10 AM. In light of COVID-19, we provide soap, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant spray, and we trust our guests to practice social distancing. We clean and disinfect the space after each guest checks out, and we ask guests to clean up after themselves before checkout. Come join us and experience the beauty of the Santa Cruz mountains!

Nice private room + hot tub

Had a great time staying at Sam n Alex over a rainy weekend. The hot tub is private and very accessible, and the property is surrounded by trees. It is beautiful in the Santa Cruz mountains! There were also some restaurants in walking distance; I particularly liked Treehouse Cafe and Tae’s Edo Sushi. Would recommend and visit again!

Cozy hideaway near Santa Cruz

Roni & Gordon's place "Sam & Alex" was a great place for us to have a weekend getaway in the Santa Cruz area. The place was really cozy, they thought of everything to make us comfortable. We even used the hot tub, and outdoor fireplace. They are super accommodating, warm, welcoming and were very responsive to anything we may have asked for. Boulder Creek is a really great little town, and we explored Ben Lomond and Felton too, while having close access to the beach in Santa Cruz. I highly recommend staying at "Sam & Alex" and staying with Roni & Gordon!

This was a great over night spot for me. I was in town for a concert and it was nice to hang out by the pool before hand. The grass for my tent was quite comfortable and the bathroom and shower were just fine despite a couple of the reviews on here. It is camping after all and I got a spot at the last minute too. Try doing that at the state park just down the road!

Hi! We had a very nice time at Gordon’s land. I may have misread and misunderstood it was a detached cabin. It’s actually a lovely, vintage style bedroom w/bathroom & shower, fridge, microwave & private entrance—The essentials for a wknd getaway. The hot tub is perfect for two, however the patio could offer more privacy from the main unit’s patio. Thank you for the thoughtful additions: sleep masks, cold water, craft beer purchase, popcorn, towels, etc. Being such a warm wknd, we would have appreciated an additional fan.
