This is a single tent campsite, although there is a level area just up hill front the tent site that you could put another tent and have a level area to park your vehicle.

Come and enjoy nature in the Sierra foothills while listening to the birds sing. You might get to see a quail family or a flock of wild turkeys come through. Drive right up to your tent site (approx. 12'x16') which is about 200' from communal cooking area, and 50' from the outhouse. Enjoy cooking in our communal outdoor kitchen equipped with a sink, counter tops, propane stove, and earth oven. Bring your dutch ovens and cook on our special fire brick table. Sit around the fire pit and tell stories or roast marshmallows with friends. Enjoy the enclosed outdoor hot shower before retiring for the night or to start your day. Our donkeys love treats such as banana peals, apple cores, etc. and will thank you with a hardy HeeHaw. Just 31 miles from Yosemite Valley and only 9 miles from historic Mariposa. Fresh eggs and garden produce for sale when available, just ask.

At Sanctuary of the Oaks we currently have 11 campsites. Sites #2 through #7, and #10 are tent sites. Sites #1 and #8 are group sites that can accommodate two or three tents. Site # 9 is a 12 ft x 14 ft wall tent set up on a wooden floor platform. And the RV1 site can accommodate up to a 20 ft RV, no  hook ups. It is possible to park your vehicle in front of, or next to all of the sites. However most of the parking spots are small and not level. So if you are planning to sleep in your vehicle, we would recommend that you book either the RV1 site, or book one of the other sites and park in the ‘extra parking’ area next to the ‘round house.’

We loved our time here! Jim and Becky are so kind and welcoming, they showed us all around the space and all the planned future projects, and introduced us to their sweet donkeys! The campsites are nice and level and close to the parking area so you don't have to pack your gear very far. The thing we loved the most was the outdoor kitchen! Having everything you need to cook your meals and clean your dishes right there is so nice and makes camping much easier. Or you can take the short drive to Mariposa for amazing pizza at Pizza Factory. We'll definitely be visiting again on our way to or from Yosemite.

Loved our stay at Sanctuary of the Oaks! From the amazing outdoor kitchen to the peaceful quiet nights under the stars, there wasn't anything more we could ask of. Highly recommend resting those trail weary feet here if visiting Yosemite or just traveling through the area! We will be back soon!

Our time at Sanctuary of the Oaks was short, but sweet. It was very convenient to be able to park next to our campsite and have a community kitchen with almost everything you need! The sunrise was beautiful to wake up to and the drive into Yosemite National Park was easy and beautiful! Would highly recommend staying here!

Didn't end up staying at site 6 because of a double booking, but the owners were super accommodating and gave us the larger site #8 instead. Sanctuary of the oaks was beautiful, the outdoor kitchen was amazing, we'll definitely be back

My friend and I had a great stay at Sanctuary of the Oaks. We especially loved the hot showers (which are hard to come by on camping roadtrips), and the close proximity to Yosemite. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at the end in #7 but everything I can say about the place is that it was beautiful! The kitchen is a big plus and I would definitely stay there again! :)
