This site absolutely exceeded my expectations. I was looking for a quiet, peaceful location to unwind and release some work stress for a weekend and I got all that and more. The camp site itself was lovely with a great view of the valley and the mountains beyond. It was so quiet the entire time. I booked a one hour trail ride and my guide Sara made sure I had a great ride on Duchess. Everyone I met at the ranch was friendly and welcoming. I will definitely return again soon

Great experience! This is a working ranch with the campsites set into the surrounding hillside, giving you a beautiful view of the animals and mountains. (My pics from the weekend speak for themselves!) I stayed at site #4, which was still only a few minutes from the restrooms/shower despite being among the more private ones offered.
The entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the whole operation has a great story; the founder takes in horses (many of them truly beautiful retired racehorses/show horses) that would otherwise be put down and offers lessons and trail riding. I did a two-hour ride and it was such an incredible highlight.
Just one word of caution: the location is fairly remote and there's no cell service, so I would recommend arranging at least one ride when you book and/or pre-researching some hiking trails/activities in the area before you arrive. There are a ton of great things to do within ~45 minutes (I hiked Dripping Springs in Temecula on my way in, which was gorgeous)—just don't show up expecting that you'll be able to wing it on the activities front.
Overall, Saddle Up Ranch 100% exceeded my expectations—great people, stunning scenery, and beautiful horses. Thank you, TJ!

Excellent place to camp! And the host was very friendly! I definitely recommend it to everyone!
The kids got a special treat petting the horses and feeding the goats in the morning. It was perfect, private camping. 😁👍

Jaqueline is an amazing, inspiring, hard working woman. The directions to the ranch need to be clarified. Upon our arrival nobody was there and we weren’t quite sure where to go.
On another note- the animals are AWESOME. This is a real, working ranch. My daughter helped on the ranch all weekend. Jaqueline is an amazing role model.
Horses, baby goats, goats, sheep, chickens, dogs, cats.....!!!!
We camped under an amazing tree. No fire ring in the campsiite but we had a lot of rain. The two remote campsites don’t have picnic tables.
A remote, beautiful, off the grid experience. Thank you Saddle Up. We’ll be back.

I really enjoyed staying here. We were in the area for work reasons and had to commute often to Los Angeles. This was much better than staying in Lose Angeles. Our host was nice and greeted us the first day. I wish I could have spent time on the ranch doing things but work ended up being much more involved than I originally expected. I recommend this location for a nice retreat from the urban jungle!
It does have sandy roads leading to the property and I don't think the roads should be tried in bad weather with a low riding car.
