Children ages 12 and under are not allowed. It isn't that we don't like kids, really we do. Unfortunately, the barn and the surrounding structure are not set up well for young children. Please don't take this personally we are just much more comfortable with adults enjoying the space.

This barn feels much more like a cozy rustic ranch home. It is decorated with fun and eclectic pieces like an old (functioning) record player and wood burning heater! The location is quiet and secluded, yet a 5 min drive to downtown Sonoma. We spent our weekend hiking, wine tasting and camped out by the fire. Perfect for a romantic hideaway or staging for wine tasting with friends! I will return!
Our weekend at the Rustic Sonoma Barn was beautiful and relaxing. The hosts are wonderful and welcoming. We loved listening to classic old records by the fire after a great night in downtown Sonoma (easy to get to!). Thanks so much!
Magical stay, can't wait to return!
This was just the most lovely stay. The barn exceeded my expectations, it was fully decorated with so many personal touches and really comfortable. You can really feel how much love they've put into this place. Chris and his wife, the hosts, went above and beyond from start to finish. He communicated every aspect of the barn and how we should be prepared, gave local recommendations, and because it was a dreary day, spend the morning heating the space up with a fire before we arrived. When we got there, it was all lit up and there was even a record playing! We felt so comfortable and enchanted right away. We fell asleep to the sound of rain pitter-patter on the roof above and loved waking up to the birds chirping and a frog chorus at night. Yes, it's not heated so make sure you have a sizable blanket (we had an electric blanket and were beyond fine in the 40s temps overnight). I hope we can return during another season, I can imagine how pretty it all is in the spring!!
This Sonoma barn was great. Centrally located and very cozy. We loved finding a spot for the night to just be alone. We listened to records, played darts, and read our books while the rain fell on the tin roof (dreamy!). We brought plenty of wood and didn’t have any issues being cold. If it is chilly, consider slippers!
Very cute and great location for a weekend in Sonoma. Only a couple blocks from the plaza. The fire is so nice to have. Great glamping spot. No kitchen so I recommend planning on eating out. It was raining when we were there but it was a nice ambiance on the tin roof. We will definitely be back.

Wow, my family has lived in Sonoma for 7 years and I had no idea this little gem existed so close to the square! The barn is tucked behind Roger's house (Chris's dad) on a spacious lot COVERED in bright wildflowers. Palm trees line the walkway to the rustic yet eclectically-decorated barn, where we followed the sound of an old Italian record crooning inside. (The record collection is awesome.) There's a wood stove if it gets chilly, plus a fire pit outside. Bathroom is attached to the barn.
The location of this Hipcamp is amazing. 5 minute drive to downtown, where there are tons of restaurants, bars, and shopping, yet somehow, it feels remote.
It's the perfect weekend getaway! Book it before it gets too popular ;)
