Pitch your tent in one of 5 predesignated campsites* that are very private and spaced among the 32 acres we call home. We live in the high desert, with geography ranging from granite boulders to oak woodland to typical desert. The property is home to two families with small children and a working homestead and market garden. You will have access to most of the property, excluding the fenced in garden areas, to prevent any disease transmission to our gardens. Please note: The campsites are backcountry/eco sites that you must pack into on a 5-15 minute walk. Each campsite ONLY provides a cleared pad for pitching tents. If you choose to use the restroom near your campsite, please use Leave No Trace principles. We do have a communal area next to our barn that has a flushing toilet, but it is a 5-20 minute walk from the campsites.. There is also a communal fire pit next to the barn/bathrooms which you can use only if weather conditions allow, due to the high fire risk in our area. Please check our “Homestead News” chalkboard next to the bathrooms to see if fires are allowed during your stay. Only campstoves are allowed at campsites. The Communal Area also has a large family-style table, community refrigerator, outdoor games (Bacce Ball, bals, children’s toys, and a slack line), an Activity Guide highlighting our favorite hiking, climbing, and biking trails in the Mounatin Empire area and access to WiFi (passcode is on the Homestead News board). This is a working homestead and also our home where we raise two toddlers! Please understand that we may not always be available to take you on a tour of our land or greet you when you arrive. We are happy to introduce ourselves and show you around between the hours of 8-11am and 2-5:30pm. Otherwise, we are happy to answer any questions outside these hours via phone. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. We are excited to be able to share our home with you and the peace and healing that being in nature can provide. *Campsites 1, 2, and 4 have two tent pads for 2-4 person tents. Camp 1 has a tent pad for a 100”x 120” family style tent.

The vibe at Rose Acres Farm Eco Tent Camping
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Cool small family farm! We stayed in site #5. We walked up to the other sites which are a few minute hike up from where you can park. Our site was closer to the parking and nestled in the oak trees. The hosts were super friendly! They have several green houses and chickens and a turkey and a friendly farm dog. The hosts are just starting out so no toilets yet. I’ll definitely be back to try some of the sites that are further back in the property. Thanks Again!
Rose Acres Farm was an amazing! Leona, Dan and Lincoln are awesome hosts. They really made us feel at home and very welcome on their property.
This was the perfect location for a father son camping trip. My 4 year old LOVED IT!! He was sad when it was time to go. There was so much to do on the property. We never had a time when we were bored or didn't have anything to do. We explored the property and searched for the other camp locations. There was rocks to climb and paths to follow. He loved it! there are also a few swings around the property. We found an awesome tire swing near our campsite. There was also another swing near the barn area. We got to see the chickens and the turkey. We Loved it!!
The property is very special! I will be returning with the rest of the family.
Nice place to set up camp for the night! Our hosts were accommodating and friendly. While walking around to view the greenhouses and gardens, you can see how much care the family puts into the property. There are several campsites to choose from, depending on what you're looking for. We liked Campsite #5 "whispering Oaks", because it was surrounded by trees and conveniently located near the parking area. The site even had a tree swing situated under the oaks, making it uniquely romantic. We had a great time and look forward to our next getaway here!
Rose Acres was a great spot to camp. Leona only has tent camping and I camp in my van. She made room for me at the barn and it was perfect! I got to walk some of the land and it’s absolutely beautiful. All family on site, Leona, her husband and sister were friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this place! The only downfall was the nights got colder than I expected, had a friend with me who was sick and we had to leave a little early due to the cold. So, my advice is, be smarter than me and check the night time temps!
Had a wonderful stay! We camped up on camp site number 5. Beautiful views and lots of awesome rock formations for my little girls to explore. Wide open spaces and lots of privacy unlike the usual state park experience. The owners were super hospital. They gave us an excellent tour of their farm and were super friendly. Our girls loved the rope swing. Bathroom was very clean. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it.
Rose Acres Farm Eco Tent Camping is a nice little place off the highway. Most of the tent sites are quite private and the farm is very cool. We spent most of our time down at the Jucumba Hot Springs (a must visit if you want to relax and get a nice dinner, although day passes are quite expensive.)
Rose Acres Farm is recommended to anyone looking for a spot to crash for the night or just to get out of the city.
We had a great evening, camping here over Memorial Day weekend. My son loved the swings and our location gave us the feel of being away from the city. We met the host who were very kind to show my son the chicken coup. We had a good decent hike to our site and the weather was nice.
