Renovated guesthouse on 20 acres in the gold country. 1900 feet elevation. 20 to 30 minute hike to the Consumnes River, with beaches and swimming.

Great sunrises, sunsets and stars. Mountain biking available. Rock outcroppings for climbers.

The kitchen has a 2 burner hot plate, microwave, toaster oven, and sink.  You will also have easy access to a refrigerator. Outside is a large propane bbq with two side burners for your use.

There is no wifi, but Verizon and At&t get good reception.  We use our phones for internet and streaming.  There is a large 50 inch TV and dvd player along with an Amazon firestick if you can stream from your phone.

We have goats, a sheep, and an alpaca if you would like to feed or interact with.

My wife and I live on the property in a house about 200 feet away. You will have as much privacy/interaction as you desire.

We do have two dogs on the property. The Australian healer/cattle dog is very friendly. The Anatolian shepherd is a watch dog so he will bark at you upon arrival and then settle down and leave you alone. You may hear him barking at night at any moving wildlife (deer, fox, wild turkey, etc.).

There are two cats living in the attic of the guesthouse, which may or may not bother you if you have cat allergies.

The last 4.5 miles of the drive to the property is on a winding road.  The last .5 mile is unpaved with a few potholes.  Please drive carefully.

Ric G.s Land was beautiful, well kept and very private. Ric was very hospitable and generous. The animals kept our kids entertained and the adults loved them as well. We had a fantastic weekend!! We can’t wait to go back!!

Thank you Ric for a perfect end of summer getaway. It was just the right mix of laziness and a bit of exercise hiking back from the river. We felt right at home and enjoyed the animals as well.
