Pitch your tent on "the nub" or enjoy the extra luxury of The Cozy Shack that has a propane burner for cooking and a sweet bamboo floor. The view is wonderful and mostly oak savannah environment. I also want to say that this place is still amazing even in the rain. Come camp soon!

Jason is a fantastic, communicative and active host. His property is really, really beautiful, and despite the site being about 250 yards beyond his house, it still felt private and secluded. We could barely see Jason’s house and there was no other sign of civilization in site. The outhouse is clean and does have a great view, and the shack is basic but does the trick. If you wanted to pitch a tent, there isn’t quite a good flat spot for it, but I know Jason is just getting started as a Host and is keen to make it a wonderful site.
Would definitely recommend if you want to sit around a campfire, fall asleep under a blanket of stars and wake up to a clear crisp morning :)
Rented a camper van over Easter weekend and stayed here 3 nights with my husband and dog. The campsite was very private with beautiful views. The shack came in handy for cooking when it was windy. Jason was a great host, very responsive. Overall we had a great time!
Wonderful yoga shack chill night.
Jason was great! A super nice gent and had a fire all ready for me - was very green when I was there so it was safe to light one - otherwise no fires allowed. :) The space is so peaceful and beautiful and I was able to stay in the “Yoga Shack” which had a stove and gas and a little pad. Top notch! :) Ridge overlook into a valley and nice hiking and a peaceful pond. You’ll love it. I left before sunrise but I have a feeling the mornings there are especially gorgeous.
This property is gorgeous! I especially enjoyed sipping my coffee on the hill overlooking the pond in the morning and reading Walden by Thoreau from the small collection of books they have in the shack. The camping site is on its own private section of Jason's property so you have plenty of room to yourself. The little shack they have at the campsite has sleeping mats, a gas stove, and pots for you to use. I had a nice cozy evening cooking dinner in there. I found out one of the sleeping mats could double as a couch if you prop the back up. Outside they have a nice flat spot with a big rug you could easily set up a 2 person tent on if you choose to sleep outside. There's also a fire pit and plenty of kindling and firewood for you to use, but be sure to ask if it's alright to light a fire as its a pretty dry area. Past the firepit is an outhouse with some views of the neighboring hillsides. Be sure to make a stop here if you're ever passing through Ukiah and looking for a nice, relaxing camping spot!
Birds and frogs....
...are the only sounds you hear - that and the breeze through the oak trees. Lovely views of the hills and the coastal range in the distance. The Cozy Shack has comfortable pads for your sleeping bags and the propane two-burner stove is excellent for cooking, with enough cookware to get you by - bring a frying pan and large pot if you're doing some serious cooking. We camped in mid-June so the no-fire rule was in effect, but we really didn't miss the campfire - plenty of night sky to keep you entertained. It's about a 20 minute drive to town, so plan your trip so you're not having to run back and forth a lot.
Spectacular seclusion in the oaks
A very private site - you feel like you’re on your own personal mountaintop! Beautiful views in all directions, peaceful, and relaxing. We loved cooling off in the pond, and relaxing under the oaks. The cozy shack was well equipped with a propane stove and cast iron pans, making cooking easy! Would definitely recommend this site for those looking to get away from it all for a few days!
Jason's place is situated in a pretty valley and feels secluded. We enjoyed great stars and sunny weather. The site is well-equipped with all sorts of amenities (propane stove, spring water, flat areas for tent pitching, etc) that were appreciated by our group. We enjoyed cooking and hanging out in the shack and the outdoor chairs for reading and relaxing in the morning. Overall, a great trip! Thanks much Jason, we'll be back.
