Elfin Forest at Peaceful Hearts was cute and super awesome! It's in a beautiful area of Temecula filled with lots of beauty and nature. A great place to unplug and unwind with mother nature and good vibes ~ Kedra, our host was very kind and sweet. Having the kitchen and bathroom was super useful. We loved the fire pit, the Bunny Tail Trail and the beautiful horses! Thank you for the wonderful stay, Kedra!
Oh my goodness Peaceful Hearts Elfin Forest!! Such a delightful paradise hidden right outside of town. There's much to do and much to see on this beautiful mountain. Hiking, massages, horseback riding, a full kitchen, and plenty of games with lovely people are a fraction of what Peaceful Hearts Elfin Forest has to offer. My girlfriend loved the romantic getaway really earning some boyfriend points ;)
Kedr, Kyle, and Alyssa are incredibly sweet and accomodating hosts. Let them know if you need anything and they'll gladly do their best to accomodate. Bring what you need and relax with supreme comfort and solace.
We LOVED Peaceful Hearts Elfin Forest and will definitely be back!! 😁😍
I arrived at the forest with my three year old and was immediately greeted warmly by Kedra and Little. I bought my tent, but the weather was so mild I never put it up and we just threw a duvet, blankets and pillows on the floating bed, strung up some lights and made that our base for three days. I loved the ranch. The forest was cool and shaded, right next to the horse paddock. Two little rivers formed into one creek and my son made friends with the little girl next door, and they played for hours making dams and bridges and trying to catch frogs. At night Little built us a fire in the communal area where the kitchen is, and everyone gathered to make smores. The ranch was welcoming, had everything you might need for camping to the verge of being 'glamping', and Kedra and her crew were warm, wacky, kind and welcoming. My son spent three glorious days getting completely mucky, not once asking for a toy or the TV - exactly why I take him camping as often as possible! We will definitely be back and can't wait to stay in the floating bed again.
The host Kedra was super friendly and helpful when she was there. I locked my keys in the car and she let me use her WiFi and waited with us for AAA to come.
The campsite was the best on the property by far. There was lots of shade which was nice and it protected us from the heat. We ended up putting our tent in the treehouse. What a view and experience! Although I’m not sure how safe that was! Kedra had someone turn on the gas fire pit for us which was really cool. We had our own semi-private hangout. The floating bed was a little sketchy for us. Having a mattress left outside all the time didn’t seem too inviting and looked pretty dirty. The concept is awesome though. There is lots of shade for several tents. Perfect for warm weather! There are signs for massages, but I don’t know what that was all about. This didn’t look like the type of place for a massage.
The communal fire pit was so much fun. We enjoyed hanging out with other campers. Note: firewood was not provided. Bring your own.
The restrooms were a nice concept but they weren’t well maintained. The toilet paper was out in all bathrooms after the first night. There was also no more cedar and the toilets were very full. We mainly just found a tree. Tip: Bring your own toilet paper!
We brought our own cooking supplies and there’s a small table on the site. We enjoyed making meals at our site. The communal kitchen was not well maintained. The other campers couldn’t get anything to work and ended up buying their own little stoves and supplies. It looks like it was once very functional and cute. It just needs maintenance.
The horses were very friendly and Kedra left some apples to feed the horses which was cool. One of the horses got out one day and we couldn’t find anyone to tell. Luckily, our friend was able to throw a rope and lure the horse away from eating the trash!
Overall, the concept is awesome. With some maintenance and TLC it would be amazing. We would probably come back, but would definitely bring all of our own supplies again.
Oh my gosh what a little piece of paradise! We stayed in the Elfin Forest site and it really was truly magical to have a little creek running around us and the Crickets and frogs chirping at night. Kendra and crew are all extremely friendly and happy. They accommodated our every need. We love the set up the horses, the campfire and the overall peacefulness of the entire place. As soon as we got within range I actually already recommended to two different people before I even had a chance to do this review! Xoxox
Super friendly staff, great communal fire pit with free wood! Unfortunately, that is where the pros stop. The Elfin Forest isn't a forest, but a cluster of trees right behind the main house which is separated by a dried up creek. Beware- they can hear your conversations and you will be awoken in the early am/late pm by their own chatter, its like you are camping in your parent's backyard when a kid. We immediately felt like we were falsely advertised to upon arrival, as did all of the other campers that we met staying on the property. The rest of the grounds were extremely dusty due to the horses (which you are not allowed to book a ride or interact with) and the "hikes" consisted of 10 minute walks to the top of a few hills. We were supposed to stay 3 nights but left after the 2nd due to the grounds/conditions and lack of activities/surroundings to explore. Several other campers we met left early as well due to the same reasons. We were hoping for a hippie forest camping experience as advertised, but Elfin Forest fell drastically short of such an experience.
The site was awesome! I had such an amazing and relaxing time. I was a little confused in the beginning but finally got into the swing of things! My favorite parts were swinging in the hammock and roasting marshmallows at the fire ring! Looks just like the pictures only smaller than I expected but fit my 6 person tent perfectly!
Kedra was super energetic and helpful, got us set up as soon as we arrived by car, and gave is the lay of the land. She was available throughout the night in case there was anything we needed. The horses nearby are very docile and relaxing to interact with. Just be careful around the trails since the horses seem to go along that as well (it can be a minefield, use lights at night!)
