Camp site is huge and would probably hold 5 RV's. The total land is 2.36 acres and the land below the parking area is part of the property and can be used to relax, walk around, or let dogs chase rabbits :). Views for miles and a peaceful place to relax in the Sequoias. Night view of city lights below in San Joaquin Valley. Pull in and have the place to yourself. There's no onsite manager but there is someone within a mile of the property if there are needs or issues.
The entrance to the property is best for 32 foot or under camper unless you are a miracle worker :).

Places to see near Patricia H.’s Land

This is a great place near Sequoia national forest. It is a flat, sandy pad on a hillside with views on three and a half sides. Patricia arranged for her caretaker to meet me and show me the place. He was very kind and helpful. I barely had a cell signal so he told me how to find his house, less than a mile away, should I need anything. Patricia was very responsive and helpful. The national forest is only a mile further up the road and we found several great places to walk the dogs. I will definitely go back.
Nice, quiet spot deep in the hills among cattle ranchers with a nice view. Just a simple open lot carved into a hillside. Up the road are mountains and trails to explore in the Sequoia National Forest. Only downside was the difficulty of entering the site with a long travel trailer. Ours is 32ft and we couldn't get in without damaging a leveling jack under the back of the trailer, scrubbing against several bushes, and doing a little "unscheduled landscaping". The drive way is a pretty sharp and steep hairpin turn off the paved road onto dirt. Would not recommend anything over 24ft, especially if you don't want scuffs or undercarriage damage. 4WD also strongly recommended if towing a trailer. Fortunately all we damaged was a $40 leveling jack which is easily replaced. Aside from the difficulties getting in and out of the site with a 32ft trailer, it was a nice spot to stay!
It's true, I wish I could keep this one a secret but I don't want to cheat Patricia out of a well deserved review :) This is indeed a little slice of heaven! A hidden oasis all to yourself. Beautiful skies, amazing view and clean fresh air. A real blessing.
Patricia was great with communication and the caretaker who lives nearby was very helpful. Once you're there you've got the whole place to yourself.
It's a very private spot and the neighboring properties are very quiet. On the nearby roads I think I heard maybe 3 cars passing by the entire 2 days I was there.
Also, the drive up thru Woody, Glennville, Idlewild is really beautiful. Rolling hills, trees, rocks, farms, livestock. For a city-slicker like me the casual drive thru such picturesque country is a real treat.
thanks Patricia - will return for sure!

Hi Trevor, Thanks for the review. Since your visit I had tractor work done to widen the entry and mapped out a turn around spot up the road to avoid the sharp left onto the entry road. I also installed a privacy chain to block entry from the road for privacy. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you visit again.
