Mellow community vibes, kayaks, stargazing, outdoor kitchen, Saturday bonfire nights, and more for wilderness nature and bug-loving adventure seekers keen to discover the Eastern Sierra.
Please note: September 9th: Mono County issued a temporary urgency
ordinance prohibiting open fires (campfires, bonfires, fire pits) on private properties, such as our camp, in light of high fire danger around CA. The propane and charcoal BBQs are still allowed. This will be reviewed on Sept 15th and weekly thereafter.
PLEASE NOTE: 2-nights minimum before Sept 18th, 3-night thereafter, thank you for your consideration.
Warm greetings to you from our piece of paradise! This is a new reality we are all getting used to, please be kind and mindful while at the camp and adventuring in the area, respecting other’s space and maintaining the safe six-foot distance. We are unsure what official COVID-19 guidelines may be at the time of your visit but we will just mirror them. Things have, and still may change daily. Please be flexible, we truly appreciate your patience and understanding.
We understand the concerns around the virus and would like to share with you the steps we are taking to ensure a safe, relaxing environment for all our guests and staff:
- All restrooms are cleaned several times a day and all surfaces are disinfected. Please note, to ensure that social distancing guidelines are followed, our restrooms are closed to guests staying in their own RVs or our rental campers. Our public restrooms are only available to guests staying at tent sites, in vans/small trailers without a bathroom, and in the Sierra Stream rental trailer.
- Hand soaps, sanitizers, and disinfectants are available in all common areas for regular use.
- The use of some of our amenities (such as laundry) will be limited or not available.
- Some normally provided items that cannot be wiped down (such as aluminium foil) will be removed.
- As per May 1st order, the use of facial coverings while in public in Mono County and interacting with people outside of your household is required, in effect through the end of the COVID-19 pandemic emergency declaration. Please come prepared. We will ask you to wear masks/face coverings when walking around the camp but not when at your site.
- Please be respectful of the maximum occupancy, as stated in the listing. In order to lower the risk of transmission, we’re limiting the amount of guests at the camping sites. Infants, children, and adults all count as one.
- Consider getting all your supplies before coming to our community.
Now more than ever it is important to spend time connecting in the great outdoors and are ready to share campfires, starry nights, and our serene area with you. The mountains are a place to get back to basics, a place to explore, to breathe. It is a place where social distancing happens naturally. This is a great opportunity to be together in Nature and not to be isolated in our homes. Together (from a safe distance) we will remain healthy, positive, and strong!
Please read through the entire listing to find out more about Adirondack Camper and our camp. Can't wait to hear from you and to be part of your adventures in the Sierra :-)
Inspired by our love of all things Americana and the beautiful Appalachia, the Adirondack Camper will fit you like your favorite faded jeans. Every inch of it has been finished with the loving attention to detail, from old barnwood to panel the interior to travertine tiles in the new shower and bathroom. We finished it off with distressed wood flooring. The outside seating area is surrounded with original ranch fence posts to create a semi-private patio complete with barbecue, fire pit and mountain views. We love it and hope you will too!
The camper will comfortably sleep 4 adults on two queen size beds, one of them being a pull out couch. Flat screen TV, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster are all provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, cookware, glasses, cups, plates, paper towels, soap, and all the typical kitchenware. Bed sheets, towels, blankets, and dish towels are ready for your use. The trailer also has a WiFi internet, cooling system, and an outside area with outdoor furniture. We also provide one-use supply of charcoal briquettes, to get you set up for your grilling, and you can buy locally grown firewood at our office.
The rate includes space rent, propane, wifi, one parking spot as well as 12% Mono County occupancy tax (TOT). We can also accommodate an extra car, if needed, in our overflow parking. Please message us prior to booking with dates you're hoping to stay with us, so we can enable the "Extra Vehicle Fee" option for you.
We're a husband and wife team and this is our adopted home - a small RV Park & Campground located directly on the shores of Bridgeport Reservoir. We believe in campfires, starry nights, good laughs, exploration, a deep sleep and an early rise. The mountains are a place to get back to basics, a place to explore, to breathe. So turn off your phone and turn on your senses. When you arrive, we won’t hand you a list of rules but we may ask you to join us for a campfire, remind you to conserve water, and to separate your trash so we can recycle it. That’s about it, oh yeah: relax, it’s your vacation.
It’s important to us that our guests don’t feel they are renting a camper as much as they’re immersing themselves into the outdoor experience. You may just want to lay in one of our hammocks and read for three days. For the more adventurous, we offer a full slate of self-guided recreational activities such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, ATVing, rock climbing, biking, natural water slides, stand up paddle boards and so much more. Do you enjoy bird watching? There are hundreds of different species right here at Paradise Shores, which is located on a major bird migration route.
Please note that the reservoir is low this summer (water level changes based on the winter snowpack and lowers during the summer months) and swimming isn't currently available. We recommend the nearby Twin Lakes just off Bridgeport if you would like to swim. We still get awesome sunsets and sunrises over the Sawtooth Ridge though!
We do have modern conveniences such as wifi internet; however, we encourage our guest to “unplug” and immerse in the slow pace life instead. If you come to stay with us at the weekend, you'll be welcome to join us around the campfire and connect with fellow campers (we have fires on most Saturdays, s'mores are on us!)
We hope Paradise Shores becomes your home as it is ours. It’s located in one of the most spectacular areas in the world. We’re surrounded on three sides by the high Sierra Nevada Mountains. Yosemite National Park, Tuolumne Meadows, Mono Lake, June Lake, Virginia Lakes, Twin Lakes, and the historic gold-mining town of Bodie are all within a short drive from here.
Please note, our minimum stay requirements in the Adirondack camper varies through the season, based on remaining available dates and our enhanced cleaning schedule. We ask for 5 nights over the 4th of July weekend (and won't have arrivals or departures on July 3rd & 4th).
Occasionally, we relax the minimum at short notice (within a week or so prior to the date) and based on availability, please ask.

We absolutely loved staying here, the location is beatiful and also very convenient if you want to go to Mono Lake or Yosemite National Park. Our personal highlight were the hot springs closeby, really something special ! Our hosts were very accommodating and extremely nice, the camper is beautiful and makes you feel right at home - we would stay there again any time. Thanks for the great time!
The Entire Team for Paradise Shores was amazing. The site is just beautiful with so many activities to do. The common area bathrooms have a key pad lock which just makes you feel safe. There are other camp sites around but they are spaced out pretty good.
I definitely recommend this site to anyone who wants to glamp it.
We had amazing time at Paradise Shores Camp. We are not an outdoorsy couple so this was a perfect place for us to relax and enjoy nature. It was a close drive to twin lakes and june loop lakes where we went boating and fishing. It was an hour drive from yosemite so we got the chance to hike there as well. The RV site was well equipped and maintained which made our stay very comfortable after a day of activities. Veronika was easy to contact and attentive to our needs. We loved this place and can’t wait to come back with our fur babies.
Very clean, comfortable and fun place to stay. There were a lot of forest fires affecting air quality and access to National Parks and hiking trails but I felt very supported by the hosts as they communicated local restrictions and checked in to make sure we were ok.
