Relaxed community vibes, kayaks, SUP, stargazing, outdoor kitchen, Saturday bonfire nights, and more for nature and bug-loving mountain going adventure seekers keen to discover the Eastern Sierra.. We’re a small mellow family-friendly camp with a unique mix of RV sites, cool rental campers and tent camping spots (our tent sites are closest to the shore).
Our camp is now CLOSED for the winter (except for the Blu House rental) and will reopen on April 22nd.
Please read below Covid-19 info as well as the entire description before requesting the booking. Stay safe and we can't wait to see you all soon!
We have lower early season rates before Memorial Day weekend.
Warm greetings to you from our piece of paradise! This is a new reality we are all getting used to, please be kind and mindful while at the camp and adventuring in the area, respecting other’s space and maintaining the safe six-foot distance. We are unsure what official COVID-19 guidelines may be at the time of your visit but we will just mirror them. Things have, and still may change daily. Please be flexible, we truly appreciate your patience and understanding.
We understand the concerns around the virus and would like to share with you the steps we are taking to ensure a safe, relaxing environment for all our guests and staff:
- All restrooms are cleaned several times a day and all surfaces are disinfected. Please note, to ensure that social distancing guidelines are followed, our restrooms are closed to guests staying in their own RVs or our rental campers. Our public restrooms are only available to guests staying at tent sites, in vans/small trailers without a bathroom, and in the Sierra Stream rental trailer.
- Hand soaps, sanitizers, and disinfectants are available in all common areas for regular use.
- The use of some of our amenities (such as laundry) may be limited or not available.
- As per May 1st order, the use of facial coverings while in public in Mono County and interacting with people outside of your household is required, in effect through the end of the COVID-19 pandemic emergency declaration. Please come prepared. We will ask you to wear masks/face coverings when walking around the camp but not when at your site.
- Please be respectful of the maximum occupancy, as stated in the listing. Infants, children, and adults all count as one.
- Consider getting all your supplies before coming to our community.
Now more than ever it is important to spend time connecting in the great outdoors and are ready to share campfires, starry nights, and our serene area with you. The mountains are a place to get back to basics, a place to explore, to breathe. It is a place where social distancing happens naturally. This is a great opportunity to be together in Nature and not to be isolated in our homes. Together (from a safe distance) we will remain healthy, positive, and strong!
Please read through the entire listing to find out more about this site and our camp. Can't wait to hear from you and to be part of your adventures in the Sierra :-)
We're a husband and wife team and this is our adopted home - a small RV Park & Campground located directly on the shores of Bridgeport Reservoir. We believe in campfires, starry nights, good laughs, exploration, a deep sleep and an early rise. The mountains are a place to get back to basics, a place to explore, to breathe. So turn off your phone and turn on your senses. When you arrive, we won’t hand you a list of rules but we may ask you to join us for a campfire, remind you to conserve water, and to separate your trash so we can recycle it. That’s about it, oh yeah: relax, it’s your vacation.
Our spacious Lakeshore Tent & Van Camping spot (T1) is located on the shores of Bridgeport Reservoir and offers front row views of the water and the Sawtooth Mountain Range. The site is a very good size and not directly neighboring another spot, which gives a sense of privacy and offers plenty of personal space. We're a great fit for campers who appreciate a safe space with a friendly welcoming atmosphere, and are keen to embrace community vibe and meet fellow travelers, or prefer to keep to themselves and simply enjoy the outdoors. This site is perfect for a camper van, rooftop tent or truck camper up to 18 feet, and/or a tent or two. One parking spot is included in the rate and we can accommodate the second vehicle, if needed, either at your site or in our overflow parking. Please select Extra Vehicle Fee from the Extras if you're planning a 3-night stay, or message us prior to requesting the booking if your stay duration differs, so we can adjust that rate for you accordingly. This spot is dry camping only (NO HOOKUPS). The site comes with picnic table, fire pit, free WIFI and the access to clean bathrooms. The closest nearby site is the Lakeshore Tent Camping spot.
It’s important to us that our guests don’t feel they are renting a camping site as much as they’re immersing themselves into the outdoor experience. You may just want to lounge outside and read for days. For the more adventurous, we offer a full slate of self-guided recreational activities such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, ATVing, rock climbing, biking, natural water slides, stand up paddle boards and so much more. Do you enjoy bird watching? There are hundreds of different species right here at Paradise Shores, which is located on a major bird migration route.
We do have modern conveniences such as wifi internet; however, we encourage our guest to “unplug” and immerse in the slow pace life instead. If you come to stay with us over the weekend, you're welcome to join us around the campfire and connect with fellow campers (we have bonfires on most Saturdays).
Did we mention that we love dogs? Be sure to bring you four legged friend when staying with us (we can accommodate up to two dogs at each site). With dog wash and off-leash dog beach, your adventure pup will be a happy camper here! Please note that the dog beach can be quite limited when the water level in the reservoir is high. On the upside, the lake looks absolutely gorgeous then! When the water level is lower, it's plenty for walks, running around and playing with your pup.
We hope Paradise Shores becomes your home as it is ours. It’s located in one of the most spectacular areas in the world. We’re surrounded on three sides by the high Sierra Nevada Mountains. Yosemite National Park, Tuolumne Meadows, Mono Lake, June Lake, Virginia Lakes, Twin Lakes, and the historic gold-mining town of Bodie are all within a short drive from here.
Please note, we ask for 3 nights minimum stay throughout the season and 4 nights over the 4th of July weekend (we won't have arrivals or departures on July 3rd & 4th).
- Check in: After 1PM
- Check out: Before 11AM
- Cancellation policy: Strict
- On arrival: Go straight to camp
- Minimum nights: 3

If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Our stay at Paradise Shores was nothing short of incredible. The area is one of the most beautiful we have seen, and there is a TON of great hiking. The owner and all of the staff at Paradise Shores were AMAZING! Super friendly and helpful, the staff made us feel comfortable and at home right from the start. They shared great info on local hikes and attractions that became the highlights of our vacation. Due to some predicted weather, we changed our last night from tent camping to one of the decked-out RV's they luckily had available. They were so kind and helpful with this situation even though it was totally last minute, AND on a holiday weekend to boot! AND, as if super-kind staff and beautiful mountain hiking weren't enough, the campground itself was equally impressive. Our tent site was right on the shore of the reservoir. When we awoke at the crack of dawn each morning, we opened our tent to totally unobstructed views of BEAUTIFUL snowy mountains just across the water on the opposite shore. Pictures cannot do it justice! The tent camping is conveniently close to the super-clean and modern bathroom/shower building. There is also a coin laundry room which totally came in handy. The outdoor community kitchen /fire pit area was also great. It gave us a chance to say hi to fellow campers, and share a fire with them. The amazing experience continued on when we checked in to our RV for the last night. It is way bigger on the inside than you would think from seeing the pics online. Great kitchen setup with NICE cookware (seriously!) was awesome to cook in. Beautiful decor, REAL houseplants, fire pit, charcoal grill, comfy bed, what more can you ask for?! The only bad part of our stay here is that it came to an end. Big thanks to Veronica and everyone at Paradise Shores for making our stay so stress free. We really hope to visit again some day!
Really well managed and beautifully decorated campground with wonderful amenities and accommodations. The three tent campsites are right along the Bridgeport Reservoir with spectacular views and the drive to the town is less than 5 minutes away. I absolutely loved it here and would come back again!
Amazing experience camping here!
This place was absoutely amazing! Awesome amenities, very picturesque location and friendly hosts. And don't get me started on the bathrooms! They were so cute and clean. I coudn't have been happier with our experience camping here!
Exceptional, family friendly!
ABSOLUTLY, POSITIVELY, THE BEST PLACE TO CAMP EVER! The minute we pulled in to the camp my jaw dropped and I can hear the ooooohs and awwwws from our kids in the back seat. This place is just beautiful. From the views, the privacy between each site within, to the hospitality of the staff. This place is definitely a home away from home. It is so clean and just so inviting. Our kids had a blast on the kayaks, paddle boards and paddle boat. They swam their heart outs and just smiled the whole time we were there and it was so awesome as parents seeing their faces just absolutely sealed the deal with this place. The location of our camp was picture perfect. The view of the Sierras and the reservoir were absolutely breathtaking, words or pictures cannot even do justice to how absolutely relaxing, fun and inviting this place is in person. It is laid back and just absolutely adorable. We will definitely be returning and we absolutely recommend Paradise Shores.
I really enjoyed my stay at Paradise Shores, at campsite 1. It has a very comfy, homey feel, and everyone is extremely friendly -- guests and hosts. Just about everyone had dogs, as they are very welcome here. The grounds are beautifully kept and have everything you could want, including showers and wifi! My site was right on the water and I enjoyed listening to the waves lapping the shore, the sun and moon setting over the water, the snowcapped peaks, and the sky full of stars. The location is close to stunning attractions in every direction.
