Our 16' diameter canvass bell tent is furnished with one double bed and one single bed, with linens and towels. Located next to a swimming pond and creek. Children and well behaved dogs are welcome here. Guests are welcome to wander deep into the surrounding national forest without concern for poison oak, we have none. Hammocks and comfy lounge chairs invite relaxation. For more activity we suggest frisbee golf practice baskets and kite flying in our large meadow or diving practice off giant rocks into our pond. Fly fishing in the creek can provide fresh trout for dinner. Mushroom hunting, white water rafting and fishing are all available with experienced guides. Our night sky puts on a spectacular show, far from the city lights. Poker chips, good books, ice and herbs are available at the main house. Mountain bike trails and guided rides are also available ask Joe your man on the mountain and host. Pantilokpom features off grid solar power, gravity fed spring water, and various natural building projects including two papercrete structures, an Art Barn, Pond Cabin and a semi restored Log Cabin.

This was our first visit and first time using Hipcamp. I am not a camper - my family had to make some concessions to get me to go. One was a safe place, good tent, and easy to access. This place met 2/3. So my recommendation is to make sure and download direction because there was no cell service! Also. DO NOT take the dirt road that the Google says to take. Big mistake!! And quite possibly dangerous if you have never navigated a steep forest service road. Also - lots of big chuck holes in the road - make sure your stuff is tied down proper. Needless to say - once you find it - it’s a nice little quiet and quaint camping spot. We were given the little pond cabin- unexpected but quite nice for me!! Our teens slept in the large tent that was already set up and waiting - complete with air mattress next to the pond. Our host - Manny - was very accommodating. He lit the cool fire thing with the hammocks - don’t know what it’s called but it is very cool!! You lay in the hammocks and the fire is above you!! It was peaceful.
There is a little camp kitchen area with a stove and utensils. We had no problems with wildlife - other than the obligatory meat bees.
There are outhouses that you have to walk to - an outdoor shower which had hot water and an incredible view!
We would visit again and bring friends and plan for a few days!!

Excellent place if you want to escape everything, it's got amazing clean water, showers and bbq pits w/ utensils. There's a creek and pond to swim in, so peaceful! Zero light pollution too so the stars are amazing! Check out strawhouse cafe on the way for some great food and coffee!

Tucked away into the mountains Between the Six Rivers and Shasta Trinity National Forests, arriving at Pantilokpom feels like discovering Neverland. The scenery is beautiful and the decor is cute, often vintage and eclectic. A picturesque pond with an island in the middle is surrounded by a handful of canvas bell tents and flanked by a beautiful stream that seems like it runs all year. The nearby outdoor kitchen and wood cabin also have lovely pond views. When paired with well maintained compost toilets and a cute open-ish air shower shack complete with hot water tank, the space made for unique and incredibly fun, rustic glamping experience. Expect to unplug from civilization a bit and be rewarded for it when you do.

The hosts live a short distance up the road in a gorgeous, sustainably made house designed and built by the owner herself. Both the property owner and the two groundskeepers are generous and attentive without hovering. Despite being a fairly last minute booking, they had a freshly made bed and propane burner to offer me, as well as dinner from their own kitchen and wine. As it was supposed to rain the nights of my stay and the cabin happened to be empty, they upgraded me for free and gave me complementary firewood for the small woodburning stove inside. They were kind to my dog and accommodating of her as well.

I’d booked this spot spontaneously when I ended up with two free days between jobs and wanted a relaxing outdoors getaway with my dog and I couldn’t have made a better choice!
