Been here twice now and have had great times with the family. My favorite thing about this place: isolation and escape from the hustle and bustle of the city for only about an hour drive from LA. Full hookups for my teardrop trailer and enough space to bust out my rooftop tent on my truck right next to it. The campsites and RV spots are in a secluded section of a huge retreat center and the bathroom/shower facilities are well maintained. Hiking trails are close by and they lead to amazing views of the canyon. Always felt safe there as the private road up to the property is locked at night with an attendant at the gate all night. Had access to the swimming pool close to the campsites and the kids loved it. There's a big field next to the pool area where my kids were able to play "one-base baseball". My only suggestion would be to allow off-road vehicles to explore the many trails on the property. Overall though, this is a great spot that gives you the feel of a remote campsite in a national forest. I highly recommend it.

Thank you for the amazing review! We're glad that you had a wonderful family experience with us. We will consider the option to allow for off-roading in the near future. Our trails are tricky and we would need to provide a trail guide to ensure the safety of our guest, but we have been asked about off-roading several times now... so it's something we will definitely consider for the future!

We really enjoyed getting away for the weekend camping! It's not far from Orange County but feels like such a peaceful escape. Some of the sites have better views than others, so connect with your host before choosing if that's important to you. The views at the end of the guided hike were simply stunning! Our host Steve was very helpful and accomodating. Our site had electricity and was nearby the shared restrooms.

This place was perfect. There are electrical hookups at the tent sites, and there was wifi! The bathroom and showers are very well maintained. The campsite is within a catholic ministry retreat area, so it's very serene and well kept. The staff is very kind and warm, and Steve was super welcoming and responsive. The group hike was beautiful, and led by a rosary while everyone was hiking up. I will definitely be back here repeatedly for family camping!

Really serene place, very well kept, with electrical hookups and wifi. The staff was super friendly, and the hike was rosary-led. Very beautiful!

The facility was nice but the natural surroundings were just OK. The area is very arid with an abundance of dead grasses, scrub oak, and eucalyptus trees. No complaints about the camping site itself. We had full hookups and we were perched on an overlook with a nice view of the canyon. The bathrooms were clean and close by. It was only a 25 minute drive from my front door in Huntington Beach so I can't really complain.
The biggest problem we had was with the noise from the Catholic Church at the bottom of the hillside. At 8pm, my wife and I had just settled into a nice little game of cribbage next to our portable propane camp fire pit when the music started. He was a mic'd up folk singer who sang Hispanic Catholic music in between gospel readings. That went on until well past midnight. Then at 4am mass started! It was as if the congregation was singing right outside my camper and the base from the organ was underneath my bed. After staring at the ceiling of our camper, and laughing for 45 minutes, we decided to forego our day and second night and packed up and left. We were home and back in bed by 6:30am.
The camp host, Steve, said that its not normally that bad and that unfortunately, Friday night was a special 24 hour "adoration" celebration that he was unaware of. He couldn't have been nicer about it and refunded us all our money.
