Family Mountain Retreat -Tent Only

Nestled within the canyons of South Orange County... we provide a beautiful rustic venue with access to a swimming pool, picnic areas, hiking and scenic views from our various trails. Bathroom and showers are available as well as full RV hookups for several of our sites and a minimum of electricity and water for the remaining sites. RVs, rooftop tents, teardrop trailers, vanlife dwellings and tents are all welcome to stay at our property!

Due to the location of our venue... wood fires and charcoal are not allowed. This is a non-smoking venue.

Tent sites are located on a grassy area at the center of our venue.  If you're interested in tent camping at one of our RV sites -- please look for our "Private Retreat in the Mountains" listing.  

Additional Details:

There are coin-op laundry facilities onsite for your convenience. Please bring your own laundry detergent as there is none for purchase on site.

The pool will be open during daylight hours. Children under eighteen (18) years of age may not use the swimming pool unless accompanied by & in the presence of an adult at all times. Lifeguards will not be on duty - parents are responsible for ensuring the safety of their children at the pool. No glass containers of any kind are permitted in the pool area.It is not advisable to bring the family pet, however if you do, all animals MUST be on a leash at all times and all waste must be bagged and properly disposed of immediately in a trashcan. Aggressive breeds are not permitted.

Wildlife – Beware! Mountain Lions - if you see one don’t run, yell, stand as tall aspossible. Rattlesnakes - don’t reach your hand or step into where you can’t see, watch where you’re walking, Raccoons are cute but very mean, we also have coyotes, bobcats, scorpions, tarantulas, etc. No one’s ever been hurt- be aware.

As we have many critters that will get into your trash, garbage must be placed inplastic trash bags and kept inside the RV or a covered trash can until it can bedeposited in the trash dumpster. Combustible, noxious, or hazardous materials should not be placed in the dumpster.

Please do not throw anything down the toilet. We are operating on a very old and sensitive septic system --ALL toilet paper must be discarded in bins provided. Please do not dispose of objects that resist water such as but not limited to: facial tissue, disposable diapers, paper towels, feminine products, cotton balls, grease, coffee grounds into the toilets or sinks.

During the duration of your stay, it is MANDATORY to wear a helmet while using any wheeled devices including but not limited to bikes, skateboards, scooters, etc. If ridden at night or at dusk, bicycles must be equipped with a light on the front and a reflector in the rear.

Beer and wine are permitted on the premises and may be consumed in moderation by those 21 years and older. At the discretion of Santiago staff any camper deemed to be intoxicated and displaying disorderly conduct will be asked to leave the premises.

We are a gated facility. You will be given the gate code prior to your arrival. As your safety is our priority please do not share the gate code with any persons not attending this event. At departure all sites and areas surrounding them must be left clean of trash and debris.

There is an Albertson's grocery store 15 minutes from the retreat center and 3 Costco's within 20 minutes.

The Retreat Center is 400 acres of beautiful landscapes and serenity. As part of their Catholic Christian heritage families will be treated to a large private swimming pool, optional seminars and Sunday mass during your stay.
