Roomy, modern, well-appointed 21 foot travel trailer. Includes everything you need for an easy and relaxed getaway. Tranquility Base Camp is located on our peaceful 1.25 acres in Borrego Springs; we’re surrounded by the dramatic Anza Borrego State Park (largest state park in California) where you’ll enjoy mountain and meadow views.

We are 7 minutes from the village of Borrego Springs with shops, restaurants and galleries (Close enough, but not too close). Jaunt into town for a burger and beer, then return for peace and quiet at Tranquility Base Camp.

Your campsite’s front porch faces our little dirt road. Enjoy night skies from the rooftop viewing deck (Borrego is an International Dark Sky Community) and take a swim in our salt water pool. (Pool Is not heated: water is warm between May and October but is very chilly Nov-Mar.) We’re close to hiking trails (the park has 110 miles of trails), birdwatching sites, and spectacular vistas. (Google Fonts Point!) We’re 15 minutes to OHV (Ocotillo Wells and BLM land) for off roaders and provide space on site to store all your toys at no extra charge.

We also accommodate groups who have additional rigs and/or tent campers for an additional fee. (Electricity only for RVs and tenters must use bathroom in trailer.) Please inquire for details.

PRIVACY AND NOISE INFORMATION TO NOTE: Our home is located behind the trailer but your space is private from ours. While we live in a quiet area, it’s not completely silent. We have one nearby neighbor with an Oleander hedge providing a visual barrier. You might hear them coming and going to/from work or enjoying their backyard. Our dogs do bark occasionally, but we’re conscientious about keeping them quiet. There are 3 houses on our road; sometimes a car or trash trucks will drive by. Our property is 176 yards from Yaqui Pass, one of the main roads into the valley. During high season you will hear periodic car sounds in the distance.

Gem of a place. Hosts super welcoming. Accommodating. Everything you need. Beautiful views. Trailer is super cute. Location is perfect. Great hiking. Amazing stars (milkyway) at nite. And the pool was the cherry on top!

First off the host is wonderful, (stayed in there trailer), they also provided local places to go and hike. The night is beautiful and you really need to sit on the roof deck and look up in to the sky when it gets dark, trust me on this.
If your looking for a place to get out of the rat race and you want to relax, go and enjoy.
Me and my wonderful are looking to go again soon.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the night sky, Steve. Enjoyed having you and look forward to seeing you two again. Maybe try us out in the Fall when daytime temps cool down dramatically. :-)

Myself and a friend stayed here during a heat wave, while driving across the country, and everything was still so easy and pleasant.
By far the coziest RV I've stayed in now, and everything is laid out very efficiently. They have a rooftop viewing deck, a nice pool, funky decorations near the RV, easy parking, and a pretty scenic off-the-beaten path drive into the town.
I'd recommend to anyone looking for an easy night, without wanting to stay in a hotel.

Softest bed ever (in a good way)!Clean showers, with provided soaps. This was taken on a full moon AND you can still see the milkyway! Very little light pollution out there.Always great to have a pool in the middle of a desert...

Truly a great hidden gem! Shelley’s trailer has everything you can think of that normal hotel amenities wouldn’t even include. We spent our hot days in the AC playing Shelleys scrabble and other board games after coming back from one of the local state park’s hike. Shelley’s home pool and viewing deck were my favorite spots on her property. She was super sweet and provided fire logs for us to use so we were able to make s’mores before stargazing :)

Shelley's place was comfortable for the perfect weekend escape from the city. It has all the amenities (including a kitchen) that are required. The fire pit and roof top star gazing balcony were are favorite parts... Along with the advice on activities in the area. It was my first time staying in a trailer and I thoroughly enjoyed it. When we return will stay here again.
