The vibe at Rancho Rubalcava
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
My boyfriend and I hoped for a last-minute adventure into the mountains, and Rancho Rubalcalva was fantastic. We spent our daytime visiting wineries suggested by Walter, a fantastic person and generous host; and got to enjoy nights by the fire (beautiful oaks and gorgeous sky views) in one of the most beautiful and remote spaces on the Central Coast. We are looking forward to visiting again!
Rancho Rubalcava is pretty breathtaking. There are panoramic views of rolling green hills. It is serene, peaceful and private. Walter is quite special as well. He connected with my earlier in the day of my arrival, offered to meet me off the 101 just so I didn’t get confused and then went out of his way to help set a fire up for my brother and me as well as help me with my tent on my camper. It is clear that his energy is injected into the property. Definitive worth visiting!!
The property is absolutely beautiful and convenient to the area wineries, and Walter is a fantastic and genial host. His positivity and good cheer set the tone for a great weekend for us. We’ll definitely stay here again.
Walter was a great host! He met us at the site and showed us around the property upon arrival. He even built us a fire before leaving!! The camp site was perfect, it's tucked into a patch of trees with everything you could need including: outhouse (very clean), fire pit, hose with running water, solar shower, grill and much more! It was super quite and secluded which was ultimately what we were looking for. It was adjacent to a property with two lovely horses that we got to visit with through the fence. Would definitely recommend it!
The land is beautiful! Walter is the nicest host I’ve encountered. His horses free graze and are an added touch to the experience. Coming from the city , it is awesome to be able to escape to a nearby paradise! I will be back!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Rancho Rubalcava. The property itself is beautiful, very private, and had roaming horses and misty foggy mornings. It felt like a fairytale! The drive to wine country is easy and lovely. Walter gave perfect directions, and we found the property easily. I would love to visit again!
Rancho Rubalcava was a beautiful location! It was very well looked after and the fire pits and wood ($6 for 6 pieces) was absolutely perfect! The horses were also very friendly, coming up for pats every now and then :)
