Comfortable shed with bed.
My partner and I felt that some aspects of this place were misrepresented by the host. First, the bed was really uncomfortable and even a little unsafe. The bed sank in in many places and when we sat up at the head of the bed, the foot of the bed flew up. We were a little concerned that the bed wouldn't stay on the ground while sleeping and made sure to sleep lower on the bed to keep the foot of it weighted down. Furthermore, the bedding is not included. It does note that in one of the photo captions, but it could be made more clear by simply not posting photos with bedding since that is not how the place comes. Fortunately, we did bring a blanket, but it was still very cold at night. The photo of the sink is also a little misleading since the sink is not functional. (Why include photos of things that are not included or not functioning?) We also expected that our dogs would be able to run around without a leash since the post for this place says that dogs are allowed off leash, but the owner has a policy that they leave the gate open at all times. So, it really isn't too convenient to leave our dogs off leash because we have to monitor them closely to make sure they don't run off of the property. All we wanted was a cozy bed and a place to let our dogs run around, but unfortunately this place failed to deliver in both of those respects. We were hoping that this would be a slightly more comfortable and convenient alternative to tent camping, but we should have just saved our money and camped on BLM land. If you do decide to stay here, make sure that you bring a headlamp or flashlight since there is no lighting inside. Fortunately, we did have headlamps. But, again, we felt this is something that should have been made more clear in the host's description of the place (for instance, the host could have informed us in advance that there's no lighting inside to make sure that we have our own light).

Comfortable shed with bed.
If you are just in need of a bed, this is perfect! It's super close to Joshua Tree and the hosts are very nice and knowledgeable. Don't be afraid to ask for things to do in the area. The shed is very small, no power, no bathroom. just a couch that pulls out to a bed. There is a fire pit guests are welcome to use and if you are extremely desperate for a shower, you can hook up a shower head to the sink out back.

Joshua Tree Tent Camping
I arrived late to the campsite while the host was out for dinner but let me set up camp anyways. John was a very kind host and took the time to show me around this property and also recommend places to visit while I was in the area. His property is located in prime position not too far from town and far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. The best part about his property is that it is wheelchair accessible as well for anyone who might need it. It's a great alternative if you the campgrounds at JTNP are full. I highly recommend staying here!
