What a wonderful and special visit! The site is better than pictured, with a stunning view of Mt Shasta. The high desert is gorgeous and our hosts were so sweet! Upon arrival they brought their pup Lucy out to greet myself, my boyfriend and our pup; they even gifted us a little bowl of freshly picked tomatoes from their garden and blackberries from Shasta - so generous! The site was flat, had a spigot with fresh well water, and was perfect for our tent setup. Super easy access from the 97 and there was some awesome Mexican food a short drive into Weed. The sunset was gorgeous and the stargazing was incredible - couldn’t have asked for a better evening.

Nancy and Richard’s high desert campsite was lovely! Plenty of space, great picnic table, and the stars were beautiful. Nancy and Richard were friendly and communicative, and Lucy the Dog was welcoming (once she’d confirmed we were friendly :-) We’d love to come back and explore the area more!

Jennifer, We're pleased that you enjoyed your visit and hope to see you again real soon. We agree, stargazing doesn't get much better than this!
Incredible view of Mt Shasta. Try to arrive before sunset, because the road is pretty dark otherwise...

Josh, You're right, it is best to arrive before dark. We're glad you found us and got to enjoy the views of Mt. Shasta. Thanks for being a great Hipcamper. We welcome you back anytime. All the best, Richard & Nancy
Awesome views and very nice hosts!

We're glad the smoke lifted a bit while you were here, allowing you to witness a beautiful Mt. Shasta sunset. Thanks for being such a great camper and leaving your site spotless. We welcome you back anytime.
Nancy and Richard's campsite was exactly as expected. Richard greeted us with cookies and fresh berries (yum) and then gave us our privacy for the rest of the evening.
The campsite is essentially at the front their property (which has a house and shed on premises), but the house is set back a ways and does not diminish the beauty of the area. The site has expansive views of Mt. Shasta, and the surrounding shrubs totally mask the nearby dirt roads. There is also a great water spout near the site and a picnic table, which makes camping much easier.
There are some amazing nearby attractions, such as Pluto's cave (if you are feeling daring and have a trusted headlamp), and the Living Memorial Sculpture Park. A couple little gems that may be out of the way in any other situation.
Overall, a very nice stay!

Sarah, We are happy you enjoyed your visit and saw a few of the "gems" in our area. We hope you'll return, there are many more gems to discover. Be Well, Richard & Nancy
The view was absolutely beautiful!

Thanks for staying with us, we're glad you enjoyed the view.
Directions were great. A safe deserted quiet place to camp for the night. We saw an amazing sunset and did some beautiful stargazing. View of mount Shasta at sunset is indescribable.

We were happy to have you here and glad you enjoyed your visit. The Shasta view is incredible and never ceases to amaze us. We invite you back anytime.
My stay was exactly what I expected and hoped for. The hosts were very warm and welcoming, introducing their dog Lucy who is very sweet. I was able to camp a bit out of site and in full view of the mountain. The stars were incredible and both sunrise and sunset were spectacular. This was a perfect retreat for me and I would definitely come back again.

We're glad you tromped around and found the perfect spot for your tent. That's the great thing about our property, there are so many tent site choices. Your description of the views, sunrise, sunset, stars is right on. This is exactly why we created the camp so we could share the beauty and peace. It warms our hearts that you appreciated it all! We welcome you back anytime. Be Well, Nancy & Richard
It was super beautiful and very private! The dog that lives at the house is super adorable! It does get cold at night when we went but once the sun came out it was really beautiful!

Thanks for staying with us. The Fall days are some of the best for clear views of Shasta. Wait until you see Shasta with a blanket of snow, spectacular! We welcome you back anytime.
