What a delightful little cabin. The views are epic, great tough hikes on the property, well stocked and very cozy bed. I'll definitely be back! Heads up that owners live on the property literally next door, but it still felt very private and we never saw anyone.

The cabin looks even better than in the pictures (and was very well kept) and the views are incredible! Some great hiking nearby as well.

Awesome spot! We were going camping and switched to Catherine's place because it was raining torrentially – ended up being an ideal rainy weekend hideout!

We celebrated our anniversary at the cabin! The place is a gem. The views are gorgeous, the cabin is well-appointed (tastefully so) and the location is ideal -- close to the Russian River and the coast but away from the fray. When we stayed the owners were not even home (their house is nearby) so we truly felt alone in the best possible way. Others have said the owners keep to themselves when they're around. We absolutely loved it and will return.

wonderful site, very private, with lots of amenities. The 1 mile loop around the property was a bit rougher than we expected and not well marked at the end, but the host has promised to fix that. Overall, a great experience.

We had a wonderful relaxing time camping at Catherine's Mountain Top Barn. There is a steep climb up to Mountain Top Barn and we had a little trouble with the electric gate, but we eventually solved it. The quiet and solitude of the site was great. We parked our 19' travel trailer next to the barn and hooked up our water and electric. The bathrooms were right out the door. We used the kitchen to wash dishes.
The sunsets are spectacular from Crow's point, a short trail climb from the barn. The fog comes in in the evening and keeps the air cool; there are no mosquitos. We hiked the trail at Mountain Top Barn; it's strenuous but well worth it. There are yellow jackets at the site but just leave them alone.
We drove to Jenner one day and Guerneville the next. We also visited Armstrong State Park which is just outside of Guerneville. The town of Cazadero is a few miles down the road and has a funky General Store.
We would highly recommend camping here if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of civilization. There is no cell phone service at the site so don't come expecting to do a lot of work online. You can get a strong signal by hiking up to the hill but why bother?
We plan on returning to Mountain Top Barn.

On the trail that goes around the property. Trails are marked to help you stay on track. I had an enjoyable stay at Catherine’s property, all of the accommodations were there as stated in the listing. Although the site itself was great and I had no concerns, I decided to only stay for one night as opposed to two because I was solo camping and there was limited WiFi service and, as a female, I would have felt a little safer at a camping site that is less remote. That being said it indicates that it is private in the listing and If you don’t mind a remote place then go for it, it just wasn’t my preference because it was my first time camping alone
