We adored our time at the FlapJack Ranch and were so sad to have to leave! As fans of shows such as Treehouse Masters, we were quite eager to stay here, but the experience far exceeded our expectations. First of all, it's more like a tree mansion. It has a very charming, comfortable, and well-appointed living room and bedroom with a central furnace that warms the place effectively (if needed), full electricity and lights, a mini fridge, and a bathroom with a toilet and sink and shower (with hot water) just a few steps away on the expansive deck of the treehouse. Lots of windows overlook active farm life, including turkeys, chickens, roosters, and even a peacock wandering around, and if you stroll about the property, you'll encounter rabbits, cows, and an organic garden, as well. There is internet access in the club house (a 30-second walk down the hill), which also includes board games, and other amenities, as well as an outdoor hot tub and fire pit.

The property is easily accessible by Hwy 1, a quick drive to dinner and lunch options in Davenport or Santa Cruz.

We were quite taken with the place, and with all the little, thoughtful touches that enhanced our stay, such as the basket that you pull up with a rope to get your coffee in the morning, and the multi-course breakfast inspired from the hosts' travels, served with lots pride and eggs and produce from the farm.

We were in a constant state of smiling and disbelief that this rural, secluded paradise existed, that at the same time was so close to town, and that we were actually staying among the trees.

Hooray! We now have WIFI in the Treehouse, although cell service in the Santa Cruz mountains is spotty.

The Romantic Treehouse was everything it's described to be AND MORE! In addition to accommodations, what you get is an experience! Robin and David are superb hosts and treated us with amazing kindness and hospitality. The treehouse alone is a piece of art! Living in it for 3 nights was a treat. It's very easy to go on and on about how my Wife and I had a great time staying here. All I want to say is if you're thinking about it, DO IT! You will be blessed with memories that will last a lifetime.

Everything was perfect! We were pretty psyched to stay there and it even exceeded our expectations. The treehouse was so cozy and charming, the breakfast was delicious, and we loved roaming around checking out the turkeys, chickens and rabbits. Oh and having the coffee delivered up with the pulley system!! I can't say enough good things about this place. We were celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary and we can't think of a better way to have spent it.

Robin & David where such amazing hosts. We got to the treehouse and we're instantly greeted with a tour. They're both very welcoming and made it comfortable to go to them if we needed anything.

I highly recommend staying here. My boyfriend and I both celebrated birthday here and it was one of the best birthdays we've shared.

Each morning fresh coffee and tea awaited us at the bottom of the treehouse for us to wheel on up, and once we were done we headed down to the house for a full course breakfast. Robin's cooking is phenomenal! And her lovely staff made mornings much sweeter.

If you're thinking about booking don't hesitate and no matter the price is sooo worth it, I promise you!

We had the most relaxing weekend celebrating my beloved’s birthday. The treehouse was stunning and we felt like we were in a sacred home with the red trees as our spaceship taking us on a beautiful adventure. The breakfasts were beyond good. We didn’t actually ever need to eat lunch because of the delicious breakfast. The staff is very nice and easy to chat with. We didn’t want to leave at all and will be back. We brought charcuterie fixings for dinner and picnics at the beaches. And didn’t find a need to go out for dinner. This place is magical!! We even came home with two bunnies from the ranch!
If you need time to reconnect or just keep that connection with your partner alive I recommend the treehouse and at minimum three nights.

We stayed in the romantic treehouse for 3 nights and we cannot speak highly enough of this listing. Robin and David are incredible hosts who absolutely blew us away with their hospitality, kindness and service! The Treehouse is simply unlike any other place you'll stay! The architecture was incredible, the place was spotless and there is not one thing that hasn't been thought of. Robin and David were so kind and always made themselves available if we needed anything. The food they provide in the mornings is beyond amazing and all locally sourced. Thank you Robin and David for a magical experience! You'll be seeing us again!

Amazing. Exceeded my explications and excited to come back. The hospitality was exceptional, including the gourmet, farm fresh breakfasts. The ambiance of the property was special. Loved the sounds of wandering chickens and turkeys. We could have happily stayed in the treehouse the whole weekend, but the surrounding area also had so much to offer. It's really a perfect getaway. We were only there for two days, but it felt like a much longer vacation. Highly recommended.

The morning coffee was perfect.Sunset on nearby davenport beach. 10 minute drive. All sorts of characters in this coop. We enjoyed the activity below our treehouse.Cozy sitting room within the treehouse.
