Description

Calling all hikers, bikers, and equestrians! The Red Tail Rim Trail South Campground is a great spot to start your adventure into Modoc National Forest. This is a popular staging area for hikers and equestrians who will spend a few hours, or even the entire day exploring the 22-mile trail! There is a hitching post here for horses, but no corrals. Red Tail Rim Trail is one of the few designated trails for mountain bikes in the Forest.
