Great spot 🤙🏼
Great spot. Michael was super gracious, gave me some suggestions for food and talked about his plans for the property. I will keep this one as a favorite because of the location, owner, and the plans he has for it 🤙🏼 He has plans for outdoor shower and toilet, water hookups for each site and there is an abundance of wood for great campfires.
Nice safe spot close to solvang
Double gated and safe. I car camped a few nights here. You can hear the frogs at night. There’s also plenty of wood for a fire. The host came out and met me on the first night, to show me around. Good vibes all round. There are also some beautiful horses on the property.
Michael was a nice and welcoming host. He had a huge pile of wood and we had a nice fire. My little one liked running around in the field. The camp is located close to several wineries. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.
We enjoyed our stay at Mikes place! The sites are in a lot next to his house, with 3 spots spaced out a bit. Mike is super friendly and around if you need any help.
We tent camped and it was perfectly fine for us, but his place might be better for vans/campers.
There are no bathrooms. There are picnic tables and a fire pit.
There are horses on their property - so cute! So close to Solvang, Santa Ynez, and Los Olivos. We spent a lot of time at the river!
Fun in wine country
Michael was an excellent host, and the space is right in the heart of wine country so it makes it extremely convenient to explore the area. The setup for car camping was great, and there was plenty of room and firewood. As Michael mentions in the description is right off the 154 so if you're a light sleep it would be good to bring some earplugs. All in all a fantastic experience with good folks around, horses to feed and pet, and of course being surrounded by some of the most beautiful landscape in the country!
Camping here is parking in a farm field, but it's an incredibly convenient location for a couple days. I didn't feel it was that noisy, but it is next to a major road. Michael is super nice and helpful. I drove in with a 28' Airstream towed with an F150, it was tight due to a couple turns, I'd be hesitant to pull something larger in (though I've never towed anything larger than this). If you do, you might pick the north field rather than the south field.
Michael was a great host! The property is in a great location for wine tasting or bike rides. The property itself could use improvement. If you are looking for a place to park and sleep, it’s okay. The free firewood was a great benefit for an evening fire!
Convenient, safe, 10/10 would again
Michael was so wonderful! He was so helpful and accommodating the entire stay. Went on a whim campy trip just the doggo and I, and it worked on perfectly. I car camped, but there was a ton of space for a tent, maybe not much shade coverage where I was parked at. Michael provides a fire pit and fire wood which was all I really needed, so THANK YOU! Would stay again, I think it was perfect for a one/two night stay. Only concern was that it was adjacent to a main road, so little noisy at times, but didn't bother me none.
Had a great one-night stay on Michael's property. He was very welcoming when showing us around the property. His dog and two horses were an added bonus. My friend and I pitched a tent and even though the property is close to a road, the noise didn't bother us. We had plenty of space and tons of wood for a campfire. Nice area, close to Lake Cachuma. The stars at night were unreal!
