Mill Pond Camp is a beautiful site on the edge of a lily-pad covered pond, featuring a campfire pit and a picnic table. This wooded area provides great privacy and excellent shade. Park your car and use hand carts to take your gear around the Mill Pond trail to reach your campsite (please don't forget to return hand carts!).  Enjoy your sunset dinner to the sounds of frogs. Although there is no swimming in Mill Pond, the site is a short walk to the Reservoir.

Sleep in a canvas tipi tent! Two people can fit very comfortably.

Campers still have the option to bring their own tent, but we recommend you save yourself the time and make yourself at home in ours.

Currently reservation requests for this campsite are set for 3 campers. When booking the site for more than 3 guests please edit your request to reflect accurate headcount information in advance of your campout. Additional campers are $30 per adult camper nightly. If you would like to organize a larger campout for groups 10+ in number please email contact @ mendocinomagic.com

***A NOTE ABOUT FIRES: Some campsites at Mendocino Magic have a firepit, but occasionally during the summer months the state bans fires for campers. We will keep you posted about the status of fires on the property when you book your reservation. Since we would hate to take campfires out of the camping experience, we have started the #onefire campaign to keep campers happy with a fire at our communal cooking area at the lanai, where on Friday and Saturday nights there will be a fire for all to enjoy. During a fire ban, please do not start a fire up at any camp's fire ring - guests who do so will be asked to leave without a refund.

This spot is amazing! You have your own private pond to relax/camp next to AND your own private lake to swim in just up the trail. Would highly recommend!

The privacy at this place is unparalleled. You have an entire pond and lake to yourself. The acres per person ratio is through the roof.

Great site with plenty of shade and clearing for tents. The property is beautiful and the staff was very accommodating and helpful. The site is right by the pond but not actually by the dock in the picture which isn't really an issue since you wouldn't actually swim in the pond. The reservoir on the other hand is a short hike away and is a perfect swimming spot and the floating dock is great to layout on. We had the lake to ourselves for most of the day and it was even better than we expected. The

You pass a bunch of wineries on the way up from SF! Also, Laytonville looks unassuming but packs a serious craft beer bunch, even at the smallest markets so don't worry about prepping. Last but not least... camping here rules the most. Can't wait to come back!

Mackenzie is a good host and everyone (there were several "volunteers" living on the property) was very nice but our group left early. This campground isn't quite ready for what we were expecting. It's more rustic than expected for the price.
Beautiful fresh water reservoir for swimming in though.

The property is beautiful and there's a lot of beautiful scenery to check out. We went in the fall and the leaves were starting to turn. The campsites are nice and roomy - and the host Mackenzie was wonderfully helpful with my questions.
My only issue is that it doesn't look EXACTLY like the photos in the listing (e.g. the pond was almost completely dry) and I'm not sure it's worth $90 a night for the facilities provided - I've stayed at other places that were cheaper but had a nicer shower and bathroom set up.

Our stay at Mill Pond Camp was so great! The weather was perfect for swimming in the lake during the day and sitting by the fire at night. Mackenzie was really nice and told us everything we needed to know about the camp.
