The vibe at Mill Pond Camp

Great site with plenty of shade and clearing for tents. The property is beautiful and the staff was very accommodating and helpful. The site is right by the pond but not actually by the dock in the picture which isn't really an issue since you wouldn't actually swim in the pond. The reservoir on the other hand is a short hike away and is a perfect swimming spot and the floating dock is great to layout on. We had the lake to ourselves for most of the day and it was even better than we expected. The
You pass a bunch of wineries on the way up from SF! Also, Laytonville looks unassuming but packs a serious craft beer bunch, even at the smallest markets so don't worry about prepping. Last but not least... camping here rules the most. Can't wait to come back!
Our stay at Mill Pond Camp was so great! The weather was perfect for swimming in the lake during the day and sitting by the fire at night. Mackenzie was really nice and told us everything we needed to know about the camp.
Overall great campsite. The reservoir is beautiful, peaceful and definitely the gem of the property. The other areas of the property are a little run down and unkept. The place just needs a good clean up. For the price per night you would expect a little bit more. We had a great weekend and had a fun time swimming and sunning.
