The Cabin is perfect for a couple’s weekend getaway (or for family nature holiday especially spring to fall) . Surrounded by the peaceful meadow it feels like you’re in the middle of nature - while the town and ocean are just a couple of minutes away.
Our farm is a place of tranquility and harmony where you can let go of daily hassles and embrace the slow pace of nature. We are working to heal our planet and all life through our Vision, Mission and Aims on this non-profit 501c3 farm. We are sequestering carbon through conscious forestry and soil health practices.
The Cozy Cabin has a queen size bed, a chest of drawers, a tiny closet and table for your use. The Cabin is decorated with artwork using natural materials. For colder nights we provide a fire starter kit for the little wood stove in the cabin.
**Please bring sleeping bags or sheets for the queen-size bed. We provide blankets, pillows, firewood, picnic table and a 3 gallon + water dispenser.
You can charge some electric devices in the Cabin. It is on a tiny solar array and with the winter rain it is not always reliable, so please be prepared with flashlights and batteries or solar lanterns.
On the porch of the cabin you have the opportunity to use your camp stove, journal, draw, or just enjoy the forest view. You can often spot a deer or a rabbit from there.
As our guest you will have access to the cozy cabin and plenty of space to pitch an additional tent for children if you wish so. Although now with rainy weather they may not be comfortable in a tent!!
In the community house nearby we provide running water, a flush toilet and a hot shower.
As a courtesy, in winter months only, we provide the use of the vegan community kitchen for simple use such coffee or tea. We ask that you bring your own camping stove and equipment and use it at the cabin unless eating out of course. The town of Ft Bragg is just a couple of miles away and provides a variety of menus.
It really helps us if you would please take your trash/recycle when you vacate.
Meadow Farm: The cabin sits inside a 6-Acre Agricultural Easement, we call The Meadow, surrounded by tall trees. The property is quiet. At night you can often hear the ocean surf.
We are honored to have a great variety of wildlife around the farm. You can spot or hear wild turkeys, deer, eagles, hawks, birds of all kinds, rabbits, foxes and many more - often right from the cabin windows. Our whole county is also fortunate to be a home we share with bears and mountain lions. They want to leave us alone but keeping food secure in your vehicle is a good policy. Please be aware of your surroundings especially at night. A strong flashlight and a look around is a good policy.
Explore the Area: Meadow Farm feels secluded, yet we are only a couple miles from Ft Bragg and the grand Pacific Ocean. We also have a nice walking trail along the meadow and through the woods. If interested ask Sojo or Jesse and we will direct you to the path. If you wish to hear more about our endeavor or to have a tour please ask and we'll try to accommodate your interest.
Glass beach with its majestic cliffs and coastal walks is just around 3 miles or 10 minutes away by car. You can watch the amazing California sunset there every night if you want to! You’ll find many more opportunities for day trips up and down the coast. State parks that share ocean side and forest paths are abundant.

Loved everything about my stay. The cabin is was easy to find, very clean and looked really nice. There were enough bed covers so I didn't even have to use the fire pit.
The hosts were so nice, very attentive and just overall awesome people. I really liked the farm and the common area, which had a clean bathroom and a rustic cool dining and living area.
The surrounding area is also very cool, including glass beach, Fort Bragg (cute little town) and Mendocino which was close by. I would totally recommend staying here!
This is a great place to stay if you want a taste of living off the grid in a serene environment while staying close to amenities in the small coastal towns along the Mendocino coast. The organic farm, the delightful stewards of the land who were the hosts, the proximity to the beach and great hiking made staying at the cozy cottage not just a place to stay but a wonderful experience.
Meadow farm was exactly what we were looking for. So peaceful, and you could be as off the grid as you would like. Still cell service if you want to be connected, or disconnect and truly enjoy the farm as it should be. The cabin was neat and cozy, and our family of four slept easily with my wife and I in the beds and our kids on the floor. Ryan and his family are great people! They gave us a tour of the farm, we walked the trail in the woods, and just enjoyed each other. We hope to be back again soon!
Absolutely loved my stay at the cabin at Meadow Farms. It is a small quant little cabin and it is super cozy. There is a wood burning fire stove and there was wood available there for you to use as well. There is a community house near the farm as well that I was able to use for kitchen purposes, as well as get some green beans from the farm to cook for dinner. Everyone was super friendly and fun to be around. One day we walked through the forest and looked for some mushrooms along the path and there is a secret swing you can find back in the woods. I think the swing was one of my favorite parts. The air is fresh and farm is beautiful, the food here tastes better than at any farm I’ve ever been to. The strawberries were the sweetest and Jesse has Rattlesnake Beans growing in the garden that are to die for!
By appointment you can schedule a tune up with the bike man on site - I got my bike tuned up and couldn’t be happier. Jesse owned a bike shop for many years and knows his stuff - he also built a majority of the bike trails in the area and gives tours as well. He took me to the ‘ride-thru’ tree trail, where you get to ride your bike down some sick trails and through an actual red wood tree!! Super fun and I defiantly recommend adding that into your plans. (After booking, just send them a message letting them know you are interested in having your bike tuned up and going on some trails)
They are just a few minutes from downtown Fort Bragg, beaches and walking trails. I love how close it was to the fun things in town, yet being there on the property, you feel as if you are far away from the world and it’s super peaceful. In town, I ventured down the trail that went over the trestle and near the beach and to see Glass Beach. I even took my kayak down the 1 to the Big River one day to kayak and that was a blast. Check in with your hosts and they can recommend even more cool spots in town.
Simply put, the Meadow Farm cabin is rad! My wife and I had the pleasure of staying here recently and we were blown away by the cozy accommodations and genuine hospitality of the hosts. Really inspiring to learn about the farm, the plant based harvests and it's mission to become a Community Emergency Relief Team. We were in Fort Bragg to sample the single track on our mountain bikes and lucky for us there was local trail builder on site to fill us in on lots of the trails to explore - not to mention patch a leaky tire and troublesome shifter. We love this place and will surely be returning soon!
Rustic tranquil cabin
If you feel like getting away from it all, this is a perfect rustic one room cabin situated about 10 minutes from downtown Fort Bragg on a beautiful property. Meadow Farm has an exciting and righteous mission and I wish them all the best. We'll definitely look to stay there again.
We had a great time staying at Meadow Farm over the Labor Day weekend. The accommodations were just as described and everyone at farm was super friendly and helpful. Cabin is small, but plenty of space for two and the bed was quite comfortable. So quiet you can hear the ocean at night. Ryan provided clear directions before our arrival and was there to meet us even though we arrived later in the evening. Will visit again.
Our trip was great! The cabin is close to the community kitchen and bathroom. Ryan and his family were super accommodating and friendly. We were busy exploring the area but they kindly offered to show us the property and their garden! It's very quiet, serene, and private. It's close to Fort Bragg, so it was easy to pop in and out
