Our RV experience at Marcelo's Rustic Ranch was great. We were given our choice of several lovely spots, but chose to be near electric and water near the house, alongside a lovely creek, in the shade. Our host was waiting for us so closely that we were texted when we accidentally drove past the gate - it does sneak up on you a bit. They made sure we were happy and had everything we needed, then left us to our own enjoyment. They responded to questions texted through Hipcamp quickly, so we felt fullly cared for and also completely secluded. I can't thank them enough for sharing their beautiful property with us, it was perfect for what we needed.
A couple of tips for the RVer,:
1. Though the ranch is quite easy to maneuver with a trailer, thanks to circle drives and lots of level ground, there is a pretty steep little hill just from the road to the entrance gate, so you have to stop on the decline to enter your code on your way in, and on your way out, have to pull out past the gate far enough that it won't close on your trailer as you time your entrance onto a busy road. Our trailer is 28' ball to bumper, which was just right, both for the approach and the exit. but it might be a little more challenging with a longer rig.
2. If you plan to connect to the water, know that it's well water with a lot of sulpher in it, so it is quite smelly. We stayed connected and used it for washing/toilet, but definately would not have put any in our fresh water tanks.
Well-maintained ranch with even more improvements in process. It's on a fairly busy country road so it's nice and quiet as long as you are not expecting wilderness quiet - much better than a public campground on my opinion. The two campsites are on either side of a nice country house that is rented out on Air BnB. Our camper trailer was about 10 feet from the house. On the other side of the trailer was a small creek that still has water even in early November of a drought year! It was lovely sitting at the piicnic table for breakfast listening to birds. Other great features: electric & water available. Pets allowed. Plenty of space to walk around. Personable host who lives in another house on the other side of the barn. Close to SF Bay Area and wine country. No sewer hookup or dump, but that wasn't an issue fur us. We have paid $40-73 at various other sites on our trip so at $80 + fees and taxes it cost ax little more. Since we booked at the last minute and liked the spot that didn't bother us.
Such a good stay at the ranch. Hosts were very responsive, met us right at their gate and showed us two our campsite for the evening, thanks so much!
Super convenient to get to from SF. Marcelo was very responsive and the site easy great for my little camper.
What a relaxing spot. Off the road with beautiful hillside views. They have horses! Which my kids loved to watch. They also have a beautiful rental house for those not looking to rough it camping. Will plan to visit again.
Thanks for sharing your property!
The ranch was great and the host was very sweet, it was a quick stay for us while passing through, but the host met us and walked us through everything, very accommodating.
A fantastic place to stay right outside of San Francisco
The hostess met us with smiles
The baby horses were adorable.
The jacuzzi was clean and hot and the land was lovely with a picnic table under the olive trees.
Will definitely stay here again!!

We had a relaxing stay and would recommend for anyone that needs to get away at this convenient location to Napa. It reminded us of a Patagonia ranch with great Mountain View’s and warm hosts. They were very kind and accommodating. Glorious sunset and sunrise too. We will be back.
We highly recommend a visit to Marcelo and Christian's ranch. They are fantastic hosts. When we arrived, they were expecting us and met us on the driveway. They gave us a quick tour of the camping options and we chose to stay at site #1 next to the cottage and creeks. There was easy hook up and the bonus of an outside jacuzzi. Nice bonus. The spot is quiet and peaceful next to the creek.
