Lupin Lodge is a unique place located by Los Gatos, CA. It's a clothing optional campsite so it may not be for everyone. Its a quiet getaway from the city and you have access to a bunch of hiking trails in the area. There's wifi throughout the place and has all the amenities you'll need. There's even a heated pool which is the only area which requires nudity. Whether staying in a tent or booking one of the yurts, it's a great place to relax and meet kind, interesting people.
Two of us camped here on Thanksgiving weekend for one night. It's basically a glamping experience since there's a community kitchen, showers, pool, and restaurant. We set up our tent furthest back in the camping area, which was very secluded and cozy. The area is fun for hiking, and not very crowded at this time of year. Highly recommend for a quick getaway!
Note, it is a clothing optional community, but it was too cold and not many people, so we didn't experience that part.
I went away this weekend to recharge and decompress.. I had never been here before or heard anything about it. This place exceeded any expectations I had for the weekend. I wanted to get away and try solo camping and what I found was a safe place to do that with the most kind people. The staff was incredibly helpful with any questions and the other guests were so warm and welcoming. I ended up meeting some lovely people and spending some time by the pool but also had the time and option to go hiking and be on my own. The hikes lead to some great look outs and a field and hammocks to rest at. Camping solo could have gone in many different ways but I’m so glad that this was my first experience. I couldn’t have asked for a safer or kinder environment. I look forward to coming back and sharing this with friends!
This is a great place if you want resort like feel after some hiking hours. Very friendly staff and people. I got myself in a jam, by getting my car stuck on a tree while backing up. The staff came to my rescue. Can't thank them enough and were super friendly and nice. Hours by the pool and hottub was completely relaxing. The pool area is nudist required but the rest of the camp is not required. Very liberating and again relaxing.
There are actually more sites to choose from than I expected. The naturalist feel was a lot less intimidating than I expected. Everyone is super nice and down to earth. I found a hike to camp that was very secluded and it was a last minute booking on a Saturday in August! There is no other place that would even be possible. I will definitely be back!
I had a great time here and am looking forward to coming back again! The people here are really friendly, and the atmosphere relaxing.
Note that this is a nudist colony. Some people live here full time, others visit regularly and it's a mix of housing and camping spots in the woods.
