Our stay at the Lower Yuba River was really lovely. We met Roy, the owner, and he gave us a tour of his property. He was super friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He took us down to the river and allowed us to explore and pitch our tent anywhere along the water. There are multiple houses on his property but being down by the river still felt private and quiet. We choose to pitch our tent on a beachy spot close to the river. It was perfect and we got to fall asleep to the sound of the rushing river. There was also a community firepit near the river and plenty of wood to use on the property. A couple of the locals came down after sunset and we all sat around the fire and enjoyed drinks and conversation. We also loved all the animals on the property. There were horses, pigs, some super cute piglets, and a sweet, friendly dog. Roy's property is peaceful and a perfect spot to camp along the Yuba. We would definitely come back.

Really beautiful, wide and shallow part of the River. Roy has a long stretch of land along the river edge open to exploration. Camp right in the sand by the edge of the river. Very hot in summer, but water is still very cold to refresh. Roy and family were friendly and showed us the animals, including some piglets!
Beautiful spot right on the Yuba! Roy was friendly and helpful and gave us a cool tour of his property. The site is pretty rustic as he's still getting set up (no water or toilets), so come prepared, but you can't beat the location camping right on the river bed. Hope to be back soon!
We had a great time at Roy’s property. He met us upon arrival and was super accommodating. The camp site was right on the river and we had plenty of options where to set up camp. There was a group fire with the other guests and was great meeting new people. We had an option to set up our camp fire anywhere along the river if we wanted our own space. Would definitely recommend staying here to those interested.

Thanks for your stay. I'm glad you had a good time. I do need to clarify that you can set up camp anywhere along the river, but fires still have to be restricted to the community fire pits provided.
Roy was helpful and guided us to the campsite. The camp/beach area is clean and well kept. Would definitely recommend!
We had the most relaxing weekend on Roy's riverfront property! Upon arrival, we called Roy to guide us into the property - he was very responsive, gave us a tour and provided us with background information on the property, surrounding area, fishing, etc. Not only that, but the following day he went above and beyond to join in on our campfire with the second group and share beers and his homemade venison/pork sausage! The photos of the property online did not lie - it was stunning! Our group of 4 people (and 3 dogs) had a small trailer and a tent, and we "split" the large property with another group of 4 that was there. There was more than enough space to set up a tent, pop up sun tent, chairs, etc. wherever we were inclined. We spent the few relaxing days we were there with our chairs parked in the river, sipping beers, playing games and listening to music, exactly what we had envisioned when booking the site.

Very beautiful and expansive riverfont campsite, and the rushing sound of the river rambling by was like music to my ears. Roy was spot on in terms of meeting and getting me to the campsite. Would highly recommend.

I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for the kind review. Just an update, I brought in a Portable Restroom. I’ve had much higher volume of campers than expected so I decided it was necessary.
