Leaving this campsite was like waking up from one of those really great dreams that you wish would never end. Our days were spent lounging in the lake, playing board games up by the tent, stargazing and generally just moving at a slow pace. The site itself was the perfect combo of comfort and camping — great for our group of 4 to have the privacy we craved away from the city.

By far, the best part of this campsite were Mariela and David. They were the perfect hosts: kind, down to earth, welcoming, answered all of our questions (there were a lot!), thoughtful about our needs and two of the best humans we have had the pleasure to cross paths with. So appreciative of their hospitality and looking forward to coming back!

This is a dream land, waking up to turquoise lake, redwoods gives paradise vibes. The place is super secluded, quiet all the time, kayaking in the lake was a bliss, very quiet, we sat the reflections of the trees all around! Can’t recommend this place enough, would love to come back soon. I just hope I could live here!
Love the fact that we had whole camping space for ourselves, including all the kayak, paddle boards, canoe for use, very generous of the host. Well equipped kitchen, utensils, cutlery, cute bath outlooking lake, comfortable beds, very clean and well maintained place.
Mariela is super friendly, greeted us as soon as we arrived and gave us information about the place. She also suggested a beautiful hike to the big lake with a beach access to take a dip, the water is pretty warm. We love the hike which goes next to the lake, stream of water in forest, you will also need to canoe across to other side land to start the hike.
The lower Scott’s lake in front of the property is so private, we see only handful of people of the lake even on the weekend.

More reflection pictures, wish I could upload video of 360 degree reflections Fairy lights at night, Such a romantic vibe Am I dreaming? Lost in this beautyLunch date can’t get any special

WOW. Hands down one of the best glamping experiences! Everything exceeded our expectations and we were blown away by the generosity and kindness of the hosts. We felt honored to stay on such an amazing property and to have access to the loveliest lake. Nestled among the trees, the space felt super private and secluded. The views of the lake were stunning (the color of the lake was so beautiful!) and besides a few kayakers/fishermen, it stayed relatively quiet.

We felt well taken care of during our stay- the kitchen was well stocked and everything felt very clean. The tent was beautiful and spacious inside (there were just 2 of us but the tent could have easily accommodated 4 people). It had two doors that fully opened, so while we lounged inside we still got to enjoy views of the trees and lake. The bed was super comfy and we had enough blankets to keep us warm at night. We enjoyed using their kayaks and paddleboards and relaxed in the hammocks. It was the perfect weekend getaway, especially after being sheltered-in-place for the past couple of months. If you have the chance to stay on this property, do it! Mariela is the best host and the experience is magical.

Early morning paddleboard. The paddleboards provided by the hosts. View of the lake and hammock from the tent. Early morning paddleboard.

The hosts are super hospitable, and they make you feel at home away from home. The set up includes everything you pretty much need. The location is secluded yet not far from town in case you need something. Swimming/kayaking in the lake is so much fun. Just chilling outside & soaking in everything is relaxing.
I can go on & on about how gorgeous this place is, but I’ll leave it up to you to check it out for yourself. I, myself, will definitely visit again.

This site is a very unique and special place. The setting by the lake with emerald/ turquoise water, the tall trees, the spacious tent and wide open deck make it all so amazing. We paddled all over on kayaks, SUP and canoes. We jumped in the cold water and basked in the warm sun. Mariela and David are so nice and accommodating they now feel like old friends.
We will be back!

Twilight looking west. To our little swimming spot. Peaceful water late afternoon. The water is this unreal hue it’s hard to believe it’s not colored.

Our family of 3, including an almost 9 year old girl, had a great time! We used the canoe and paddle boards and they were fun and easy to use. We were a little nervous about the bathroom, but it was easy to use and we had no problems with it. We were the only campers and felt very safe. It was a great get-away after being stuck at home.

Thank you Melanie, so glad you had a good time, and yes, the toilet is not a common one, but like you mentioned, seems more complicated than it really is. Stay safe
