Welcome back campers! Felton was not damaged by the recent fires! Please come pitch your tent under the shady oak trees at our campsite walking distance from the redwoods at Henry Cowell State Park. This campsite is the most recent addition to our small organic farm in Felton. This campsite has access to a shared outdoor restroom with a flush toilet and shower. There is also an outside sink and picnic table as well as a water spigot.  There is no kitchen for this unit so please bring your own camping set up or stove. No fires are permitted at the campsite but we have a large communal campire ring and dining area in our meadow. We ask that you leave no trace and pack out your trash. We have quiet hours between 9pm-9am as there are 3 units on this property, all within a good distance of one another. . Due to the nature of the farm and other animals present we don't allow dogs. This site has a strict two person capacity limit and parking for one vehicle This campsite is not large enough to accommodate a RV. Camper vans will fit but there is not enough room to turn around a vehicle at the campsite, it’s back in or back out and we are typically here to help you if need be. Thanks for looking!

This was exactly what we needed. It’s a small-ish tucked away site in the back of a small farm. You are tucked into a pretty fence and under some tall trees. In the hot summer days. This is such a welcome cool spot. There are other guests, but you are pretty far afield from them. The nights are small town quiet - not middle of no where quiet. There’s a bit of car noise, a bit of others down the road rustling around, but nothing compared to a city or suburb. And the sky is clear and vast.

Others have written about the aviary nearby and I promise these birds are very quiet. They coo a little at night if you pass them by but they are all safely tucked up on their branches and snoozing peacefully. We slept in until 9:30 on the first morning and nothing woke us besides our need for coffee. The birds are really gorgeous too. They are so healthy and clean. Some are funny looking! Look for the “wigged chickens!”

The rest of the animals are also clean, sweet, and gentle. We cuddled with goats (go for Oreo first, he loves scratches... Brownie isn’t as quick to people please but is very curious about your clothes and hair!)

We walked right over to Henry Cowell and we even went to town for a pizza on the second night. Felton is awesome. Very Santa Cruz mountain living.

10/10 for this place. I will be back for sure.

Lisa was lovely and the site was as well. It's an organic farm; the campsite I stayed at was near the aviary so I loved waking up at 6:30am to the birds. You might not. The campsite had a picnic table and a flat sandy surface (perfect for tent stakes). It didn't feel too foresty - more like a KOA or something - but it was still serene. I liked saying hi to the birds and horses, but unfortunately didn't get to see the goats.

Lisa was around and helpful (see below) but was completely unobtrusive.

Now - the bathroom and shower. First, it's shared with at least one other site, which was fine - but the bathroom is so close to the campsite you don't really have privacy as you're in total view when other folks are going to and from the bathroom. The flush toilet, with TP, worked great, as did the sink. It's in an outhouse of sorts that has a lock. Best bathroom I've ever used while camping.

Second, though, the hot water did not work. I was OK with a cold shower since I don't really count on luxury while camping, but that was still unfortunate. Lisa and fam came and attempted to fix the shower immediately, as it had been working last they'd checked - so this isn't a knock on them at all. They seemed to fix it, but when I had a shower the next morning it got slightly warm, but that was it. They responded to that too and I'm sure they've fixed it by now. Lisa was super responsive to any of my needs.

The site is basically across the street from Henry Cowell Redwood Park, so location was wonderful. Also very close to the cute little town of Felton, and only 30 minutes to Santa Cruz, or slightly less-populated beaches towards Davenport.

One of the beautiful, but shy, horses. The aviary! This is a panoramic shot of the surroundings.Campsite with my tent! There's a lil' folding table to help with tent set-up, and barely in view is the picnic table.

Thanks so much Abeni for the review. You were our first camper to stay at the site and very helpful! We’ve since fiddled with the shower enough that we’ve got hot water, it’s on demand hot water heater and we just needed to turn it up higher. I’m sorry we didn’t get it all figured out before you came. We literally finished the campground and listed it the same day you booked. Also we installed a little privacy shade at the picnic table, but thanks for the comments we will see if we can make it a little more private from the bathroom if possible. Hope you will come back soon!

The campsite was lovely, nicely shaded, and clean. We enjoyed chatting with the other guests, and saying hi to the chickens. Also, having the bathroom and hot shower just a few paces away from the campsite was great. We didn't experience any problems with the hot water, so the issue mentioned by the other review was likely resolved.

This is such a great little spot in a beautiful town that I didn't really have enough time to explore. It's right across from the park and close to everything else you need. The hosts are amazing sweet people who genuinely love hosting and consider every detail. I'm definitely going back when I can. The pottery studio is a must for anyone who is even vaguely interested.

Serene property with happy animals. Our first time tent camping and this place is ideal. My daughter and I were warmly welcomed by our hosts and could not have found a better place to test the waters. Beaches are within driving distance and state parks surround you. We would definitely return! Oh! And Daphne wishes she could’ve said good bye and if you could give Ellie, Brownie, and Oreo a hug from us ❤️

My husband and 9 yo son camped/slept at this site while my 13 yo son and I rented the Hayloft via Air BnB. This was exactly what we needed for a family vacation where we could all relax and easily. go for a hike, bike., etc. The campsite is tucked away right next to the Hayloft rental at the back of a small farm so we were right next to each other, and yet we still had some separation. They enjoyed sleeping outside and reading in the shade - and we all enjoyed the farm and communal campfire ring. Lisa was a fantastic host - even took our groceries which arrived ahead of us into the house. I highly recommend this site and Lisa!
