Lilac Oaks RV Park and Campground is located just north of the unincorporated community of Valley Center. We offer RV camping (mix of full and water/electric only) and tent camping in idyllic settings with great amenities to keep campers of all ages entertained for days. We also have full hook-up spaces available in our 50+ acres of land for long-term RV space rental.

We are surrounded by beautiful country with views of rolling hills and seasonal streambeds lined with native live oak and sycamore trees and the panorama of Rodriguez Peak and the Palomar Mountain range.  It is just five miles from Escondido which has one of the best shopping centers in San Diego County, a wonderful hospital district, and boasts all the advantages for which one could ask.

We have a mild climate in which delicate crops such as avocados, citrus, and flowers are successfully produced. There are several ways into the valley and, once entered, the rest of the world drops away, and you become aware of the beauty, orchards, flowers and trees, lovely hills and majestic Palomar Mountain.

The site has all bear necessities, but it didn’t meet our expectations. It seems more as a resident RV for long term that a casual campground.

There’s a lot of nice old grown trees in the area for shade. Short loop trail. I was on site 33 couldn’t ask for anything more-it’s shaded, close to restroom and the lake. Not able to meet Denise but she seem to be nice giving all the information I need.

Just relaxing readingI have a picnic table but just like to be next to my as everything is handy if I need somethings quick while cooking my breakfast (can soup) on top of my tool box.

Great little getaway at the last minute and Denise got back to us right away. Such a short drive from SD and were able to find the site perfectly at night. Will definitely be back and see the lovely cranes and geese! Also there is a fantastic general store down the road which was perfect!

I felt like I was duped. We booked a lakeside campsite where there was only 10 sites, well turns out this is a backwoods trailer park with 50 occupants. Not only that the site I was told I was in after driving 2 hrs has no swamp view and no table. Needless to say I was disappointed. Only plus was getting my money back.

Trees, lake, pool,
Baby boomers dragged out camping by mom and dad over the summer vacations from school will have a flood of memories at this place! Older and slightly used but functional and adds to the childhood memories

We like Lilac Oaks. We like all it has to offer. I think they do a great job with what they have. It'd be nice if the Investors fixed the ice machine, but, we just went off site to get ice. Denise and the grounds/maintenance guy - super friendly and likable. We'll go back, and we'll bring friends. :)

Lilac Oaks was perfect for my birthday weekend. I was confused at first by the campsite numbering and wished there were more images of the specific sites, however Jennifer and Denise were super helpful and even called me to discuss the available sites. They provided me with a cute hand drawn map via email and told me which sites were the most recommended. Checkin was super easy and each site allowed two cars which was very helpful since I had different groups of friends driving in. We camped in sites K & J but if you’re looking to be more secluded, then you would like L, M, and N. The Oak trees in the tent sites provide ample shade and the Amphitheatre section was nice to access as long as their were no groups camping there. There are 3 lakes and sadly they are pretty grimy but the ducks are nice to watch. All and all I liked Lilac Oaks and will return soon!
