It was a rough stay for me. There were permanent dwellings too close for it to feel serene. It felt very visible to those on the property. Very little shade, it was so hot. Bees everywhere! I couldn’t cook without flies and bees everywhere on me! It was extreme. Disappointing, because it looked so nice...

Sorry that Megan was not prepared for the summer weather. Yes, it can be hot during the day; cool at night. This is a primitive camp; there can be wildlife such as flies & bees, although they are not omnipresent. This is the first person to mention such a problem. We will put out a fly trap & a bee trap and hope that helps. Bees are strongly attracted to any kind of meat. Best to keep it under wraps in the summer. There was a caretaker trailer nearby (for camper support) when Megan camped at this site, but there are no permanent structures in the vicinity. We do have other, more remote sites available and could have re-located her to one of these had we known of her distress. Always seeking to provide a great camping experience and complete satisfaction!
