“L.A.R.K.ville” is 43 acres of tangled blue oaks and red bark manzanitas. Ninety minutes from San Francisco and 10 minutes from the shores of Lake Berryessa, we are Napa off-the-grid. No glitz. No crowds. But Napa town is a mere 20 minutes from our driveway! Our dirt and gravel road travels in a “chutes and ladders” configuration from the 600 sq. ft. party deck and open camping

No crowds. But Napa town is a mere 20 minutes from our driveway! Our dirt and gravel road travels in a “chutes and ladders” configuration from the 600 sq. ft. party deck and open camping area at the property bottom, passed the 16 ft. geodesic dome and owner’s cabins, up, up, and up to the greatest treasure of all: The Twisted Lizard Tiki Treehouse Bar! BYOB, no cover, and no closing time. This is arguably the coolest underground bar in Northern California. Not found on any map— but yours to party in. Note: you might make new best friends with other campers. Just make sure to secure the red velvet rope when you leave. Our local deer are heavy drinkers.

New larkville lover here!!
This property is amazing and the owners even more so! This was my first rental with Hipcamp and I am definitely a fan :)
This property was easy to find, better than advertised and the owners are so sweet! We ran into them as we drove up and they explained the setup and said they would come say hi when they got back!
They set up small solar lights around the property so its easy to walk around. There is a portapotty near the big deck area where we camped that was well maintained, along with a handy dish washing station with water pump, and the grills are in good shape!! We couldn't use the deck because a family was staying there and had sprawled out but our tent was enough for us.
Best part of the stay was walking up to the treehouse tiki bar and hanging out with Ron, Lynka and her visiting cousin as well as some of the other campers who were staying for the weekend. Nice people, nice atmosphere and nice weather makes me a happy gal :)
