Welcome to Kimball Farm! We have cultivated our family farm to be a sanctuary - a place for people to feel the love of the earth, and what it has to offer us. Spectacular skies surround the farm, with roaming chickens, crowing roosters and vegetables, medicinal herbs, and fruits growing - a living model of what is beautiful AND possible in life. The cozy TeePee has a vibe of its own, and sits beside a sweet, peaceful pond, outdoor sitting area, and fire pit. There is plenty of room for additional tents and RV's. The convenience of accessible electricity, running toilets, hot water shower, gas grill and an additional covered sitting area make your camping adventure that much more comfortable. Super convenient to get here! We're less than 20 miles from the Sacramento Airport, and just a few minutes off of Interstate 5. Yet you'd never know it once you get to the farm and feel the peace and quiet. We're looking forward to seeing you soon! Additional note....Life on the farm is calm, peaceful and easy... operating with the natural rhythm of the sun cycle. What few clocks we do have, are stuck on twenty minutes past four. We are also family and kid friendly. Please private message us with any questions you may have, or if you would like additional information. We are also home wine makers. If you would like a tour of the cellar along with tasting please let me know. Please know that although the teepee provides some shelter from the elements it is not a house. This is still camping and you will be subject to the elements of Mother Nature. Hot, cold, rain, wind, dirt, dust, mud and different animal sounds during the night. When you are here you may see frogs, toads, lizards, snakes (none poisonous) ants, turtles, squirrels, etc.. Those of you who have experienced camping before know that these are all normal things when out in nature but for those of you who have no camping experience I ask you to come with an open mind and a positive attitude towards a new experience. If you think you may have problems with any of these things PLEASE DON'T COME!!! We also have a dog named Sara that loves people. Most campers that come are very happy to have her around. She is polite and good with children. Some of you may not like dogs, if that is the case this will not be a fun experience for you. Please note that as of spring 2021 we no longer have as many animals. Because of the drought feed prices are too high.Thank you for visiting our listing!  We have cultivated our  family farm to be a sanctuary - a place for people to feel the love of the earth, and what it has to offer us. Teepee on family farm
Such a fun and beautiful place to stay! Definitely do the wine tasting -- that was a wonderful experience. As others have mentioned, Sarah the dog kept us company the whole time. I will be back!

Teepee on family farm
I recently stayed at George's place with a group of 12 people, and it was an excellent experience. George's communication and responsiveness were top-notch, and he provided great suggestions for nearby activities. We were also greeted by George's friendly dog, Sarah, which was a nice touch. The property itself was comfortable and well-maintained. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I highly recommend George's place to anyone looking for a memorable trip.

Teepee on family farm
This was a perfect last-minute getaway to disconnect. We had the area to ourselves and got to do some R&R. It was still hot but the trees around the pond and grass area (where we set up our tent) gave us a nice shaded area. The two toilets, sink, and outdoor shower were close enough, just make sure to bring headlamps or something to light the way. As some of the other reviews mentioned, there are still mosquitos so make sure to bring bug spray. We were totally find in our tents.

Teepee on family farm
Great setup with outdoor kitchen, cozy teepee and lots of stars. Little oasis surrounded by bigger farms. Much better than camping at an RV park or KOA in this area that lacks many camp spots.

Teepee on family farm
Perfect size for our group of 8! We enjoyed the fire, sleeping under the stars and getting out of the city! He gave us a tour of the land and a suggestion on where to head to the lake!

Teepee on family farm
We had a lovely time on the Kimball family farm. George was very welcoming and showed us around all the great stuff he's built. We even got to taste the wine he's making. The teepee is spacious and the 4 of us fit in no problem. Inside there is electricity, and you can plug your devices on an extension cord. There is also a standing lamp, a coffee table, and and old sofa. No bedding is provided, so bring your own. Outside there is every we need to cook: a firepit with 2 grates, a Weber gas grill and 2 propane burners. There is also a large marble table, a picnic table, and 4 chairs around the firepit. And also a water spigot for washing your dishes. The flush toilets, sink and outdoor shower (with hot water) were all super convenient. Sara the dog was mellow and kept us company. We also liked watching the ducks in the pond. Something to note: there were a lot of mosquitoes in the evening and at night. The teepee has openings so they get in. I recommend you bring your own anti-mosquito solution, maybe a plug-in? The bug sprays won't deter them
